Also did Randell or Vick ever win the SB? Did Tark? Elway won when he had a great RB and running game and was a much older less mobile QB. Running is great when nothing else is left, but as a designed play in the NFL... Hasn't worked long term.... Will RG rewrite the history books...Maybe... but History is not on his side. He's smart enough, but if he's left purely up to his own athletic devices and not forced to, he probably won't.

I love RG as a player and the way he conducts himself, but I want to see him take his game to a new level and that his legs are a weapon of last resort that extends a play and isn't "The Play".
What is the most famous play of Elway's career? Diving headfirst and getting rocked by 2 Packers players, twirling midair like a helicopter and collapsing to the ground for a first down. That was as an old man.

Griffin knows what he needs to do and he will get better. He is still what 22 years old and learning. He can still run and be even more effective than he has been this year while also being safer. Just something he has to learn with experience and he will.

Watching him throw that ball after the injury was pretty close, except one was the movies and the other was real. Collapsing at the sidelines was so tragic to see. He's tough, but he's not invincible.

I think we can beat Cleveland with Cousins. That guy can ball. Keep RG3 fresh for the final NFC East battles

    Daniel Larusso's gonna fight?

You captured two Redskin connections in that picture...well done!

osi umenyiora disparagingly referred to griffin as "bob" before the first game with new york....which has since been picked up by the nyg, dallas, philly, baltimore....and a small faction of the redskin fanbases. i'm thinking most of these people are acting like douchebags.

thanks for advising it's just a joke.

Not making light of a sprain.

I'm just relived its not a tear.

I was watching the game with my friend. He is a very good doctor. Right after the injury he stated that there is no way the ACL is torn because the foot wasn't planted. Said tearing an ACL there is almost impossible. He also said that he would definitely be given the standard field tests to see how his ligaments were doing. He said that it is probable a deep bruise and/or a very mild sprain. Ofcorse its difficult to tell watching something on TV. But his opinion did keep my hopes up.

I think hell be good to go by next week, and should get walk thru and limited reps during the week.

If he is not 100% I say sit him, sit him for the rest of the season if that's what it takes. No need to get him hurt worse, playoffs would have been gravy for this season anyways, as a fan I feel better missing the playoffs this year & know I have a healthy RG3 for the next few years than risking another injury or anything else.

He'll probably push himself to play, just hope the O line & help blockers have a heck of a week if he does play.

Great news. With a playoff spot on the line I don't see how they keep him off the field next week. I do think the qb runs will be much more limited than normal.

Just keep him in the pocket. He was delivering beautiful strikes even with a gimped knee.

i want RG3 to be healthy for years to come but some people sound content to pack in the rest of the season when we are in the thick of things

And Cunningham didnt play in a Super Bowl because Gary Anderson missed a 35 yard field goal

Tarkenton went to 3 super bowls. You are not making any sense
Thanks for informing me about the SB's as if I didn't already know that. U have your opine, I have mine. RG is a great play maker but if all were honest here, he many times misses WR's wide open down field when he has time to find them, but his legs have taken over his eyes and he misses seeing them. The end result is him taking off more than many other QB's would and that opens the door to getting hit and possibly injured. I am not calling for him not using his using his play making abilities, but when the offense is predicated upon this being a feature then the odds of a season/career ending injury increase exponentially. Deal with it.
