Grade 1 sprain to LCL. I guess this is the best news we could've hoped for

Yeah. When I had a grade 2, I was in rough shape for about a month and I needed PT. But I was also 16, a cheerleader and dealing with a massive growth spurt, not an elite athlete. I think he should be good to go.

Grade 1 is day to day. Depends on how the swelling effects the mobility of the knee. After seeing his knee bend like that, by far the best news we could have heard. Robert will play no doubt in my mind unless the coaching staff sees something and doesn't let him.

What incentive would Shanahan have for saying he is ruled out today?
Anything Shanahan says at this point is smoke and mirrors.

Best news today. He has to be the best conditioned athlete to ever don the burgundy and gold.

Thank goodness. Let him rest and rehab the knee accordingly, and if he's good to go Sunday, let him play.

"First degree sprain" has no universal meaning in terms of time missed. It all depends on the individual. He could definitely use that this week to screw with the Browns.

but it usually indicates that the sprain is not severe like a grade 3, does it not?

speaking of individuals, if anyone is going to be ready to go next week it will be RG3

EDIT: From the sounds of things on twitter, it seems from Shanny's presser that he would be surprised if RG3 DIDN'T play Sunday. He didn't say it.
