Hallelujah!!!
Ahhhh! Watching that replay hurts me every time. I just keep saying no don't do that, just slide feet first, every single time.
Ouch. Man I hope he is okay.

The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
Praise him. But our boy needs to learn to slide properly ASAP.
that Ngata is one of the dirtiest players in the NFL.
Ouch that replay looked worse than I thought. Glad he's okay. He does just need to slide feet first!
It was a first degree. Which is the least severe.

IF he slid guys, you don't know that he doesn't get helmet-rocked like ROdgers-Cromartie tried to do or like Bernard Pollard tried to do today.
The FACT is, the league is not protecting its QBs, it's not calling obvious launches at their heads, or late hits out of bounds or other attempts to "break" star QBs. I still believe Pollard deliberately messed up Brady's knee a few years ago when he played with KC.
The other way to go, is retribution but I'd prefer not to go that way. However, teams need to start understanding that Pollard-type actions will reverberate through their roster.
You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.
I agree. One of the Lions defenders said about RG3 that they wanted to "hit him, hit him, and hit him" and "make him break".
We have seen a lot of this this year, and I suspect we will continue to see more of the same. Defenses cannot stop him so they try to take him out. This is old school headhunting. Bounties might be against the rules, but headhunting is clearly still happening.

Said Robert Griffin Jr., Griffin’s father, in a text message: “Knee better than yours and mine.”
I can see that. It is hard to protect both your head and your legs at the same time. He actually did a good job avoiding the blow to the head, but I think a slide would have obviously been better (knowing the outcome), and it would have drawn a flag.
I agree and would add that RG3 is the biggest target in the NFL right now.The FACT is, the league is not protecting its QBs, it's not calling obvious launches at their heads, or late hits out of bounds or other attempts to "break" star QBs.
