Sprained both my knees skiing in Tahoe at 23 and had to ice and elevate them for two days, skied the next week. If the MRI is clean he will heal in a week or so.

Griffin said that he was going to watch the game with his family and that he will never attend a Super Bowl if he needs a ticket to get in.
My hope is that the league will start giving RGIII calls on borderline hits in the near future. He's already a star in this league, and he's 100X more charismatic than Luck. He's the future face of this league, provided they don't let him get beat up.
The stars get those borderline dirty hits called most times, and eventually they stop getting hit like that, because if you can't get away with it anymore they stop trying to hit you to injure you as much.
If he had slid feet first, Ngata likely hits him very similar to the hit against Atlanta that caused the concussion. He just needs to get down sooner regardless of feet or head first, because the refs are going to let defenders hit him when he does these last second slides, and he ends up getting hurt even worse from falling awkwardly.
Sean you were one hell of a safety and an even greater role model for young men like myself. You played my position with the same reckless abandone I play it with. More importantly, you WEREN'T perfect and you MADE mistakes, a lot like me, and you were growing and maturing into a man, a lot like what I'm trying to do. And the fact that you're gone now only motivates me more, as a safety and as a young man, to carry on your legacy.

You will give the Redskins an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun. In time you will help them accomplish wonders.
This is one of the most ridiculous things I've read. Who gives a **** how charismatic he is when the game in on-going? No player should get calls go his way just because he's a "nice guy".

It's less dangerous than running upright when a 350 LB lineman is about to hit you.
That hit by Ngata wasn't dirty. It was the way RG3 dove combined with where he got hit that made it look ugly. The hit by Pollard on the other hand......should draw a fine. Blatant head hunting. He ducked his head and dove right at RG3's head with his helmet even after he slid feet first. But to stay on topic, I'm glad to see the MRI was negative. Hopefully he gets a good bit of rest this week and is able to go next weekend.

I will say I am glad we have Cousins as our backup instead of Grossman. Even if RG3 doesn't play next week (don't think he should anyway), Kirk can do a good enough job to win that game.
I'm actually fine if RG3 never runs again. Scramble and play action? sure but I don't want him to get seriously injured and that's what's going to happen if he doesn't stop
Honestly...... Just thank the lord man!!! If that was a ligament tear, yeah lets not go there...... Awesome news!!!

Everyone here is freaking out too much on this injury and how his career is doomed because he plays like this. How happy would everyone be if he didn't run for the first and we lost the game? The hit he took against Atlant was inexcuseable and dumb, but this one here was trying to make a play and a freak incident of his leg whipping up caused an injury. How many of you can say you've seen something like that happen?
