Default A Lions' Win Would Give us Control Over our Destiny

If the Lions can pull off the upset tonight, we will have control over our playoff destiny going forward. As long as we win out, it does not matter what the Giants, Seahawks, Bears, or Packers do; we can get the sixth playoff spot by winning our remaining 3 games. The Bears and Packers will both be 8-5, and we will be 7-6. The Packers and Bears play next week, so one of them will have to fall to 8-6 (assuming they don't tie), and a win over Cleveland would move us to 8-6. From there, it does not matter which team loses that game, or what they do in the last two weeks. We would hold the tiebreaker over that team at 10-6. Check it for yourself if you don't believe me with the ESPN playoff machine.

Winning out isn't realistic though. We most certainly will lose one more game. But it's good to know.

Cleveland, Philly, Dallas at FedEx isn't that bad of a stretch. Tonight was the game we feared the most.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. If any, I thought this would be our loss from the last 4 games. While I'm not overlooking any of the 3 remaining teams, all 3 games are certainly winnable. One game at a time.

Yes sir. The Giants and Ravens were the tough games. Our remaining games are what's known in the business as "Trap games".

One of the hottest teams in the entire league right now. All the momentum going our way. Even if Roberts down for a time, I wouldn't say it was unrealistic at all to think we could beat a below .500, pretty darn poor Cleveland team far behind ourselves in the rebuilding stakes; an Eagles team all but on vacation; and a Dallas team hanging on by their finger nails.

    Hail.

If we can lose to the Panthers, we can lose to any team. It's definitly possible, but it's not likely. 2-1 is more likely.

Beating the Eagles, Cowboys (away), Giants and Ravens didn't look all that realistic at 3-6.

It could be argued that the hardest work has already been done. None of our remaining opponents is as good as the previous two.

One game at a time. While it's unusual to win 7 straight games to make the playoffs, if you break it down game by game, it's very possible.

There's no reason why the Redskins have to lose another game.

The Bears are going to collapse. That's my prediction. Lost today and will lose next week to the Packers

If we beat Cleveland with Cousins, we will dominate Philly and Dallas with a healthy RG3.

Turn your fan card in man. This team has been playing lights out. We've won 4 very improbable games in a row, why do you think we'll lose any of the next 3?
