It's football guys. He has a low grade knee sprain. People play through worse. Hell, Rivers played on a partially torn ACL. If we baby Griffin every time he gets a minor injury, this team is going nowhere. This is football, not figure skating.
Yes, lets see what he can do. Rest Bob Griffin
No, we need to think about this season and the playoffs

I'd be really surprised if he didn't start.
ok, i dont give a **** who starts on sunday. JUST BEAT CLEVELAND!!! that is my only wish. heck i dont care if coach mike goes out and signs john beck...JUST WIN ON SUNDAY!!!! lol this will be a long week, i can tell already...
Are some of you really comparing Strasburg's situation to a football player with a mild sprained knee?
I will definitely admit RG3 is the key to our success, but in no way is Garcon alone in this receiving core, they are all a level higher. Is our line great? no but they sure can block great in their zone blocking, and once the run gets going, the play action follows. Neither can either of us prove that the Skins can't win 1 game against the Browns without RG3. If our D plays good, we will beat them even with Cousins, but only one way to tell and I'm not ready to challenge that yet. I want to see RG at at least 90% and in there doing his thing.

when i read **** like this: http://thebrownsboard.com/forums/ind...howtopic=24891
i want RG3 to come back and rip them a new ******* so bad next week
Question: Do we REALLY need him for the Browns game? I thought we could lose the Browns game and beat Dallas and Philly and we would be in. Even if we beat the Browns and lose either of the last two games we are out anyways. Wouldn't be better to have RG3 for the last two games and for the post-season strong and healthy. Isn't that more important?
Didn't some old wise men say: "It is better to be safe than sorry?"
I don't care about squeaking into the playoffs this year, I want a healthy RG3 for the longterm. I doubt the skins could win more than a wildcard game this year anyways, so what's the point? To get RG3 some experience? The kid who is cool as a cucumber and looks like a 10 year vet already will not have limited success in next years playoffs because of lack of playoff experience.
Do you think the Giants said this kind of stuff when they got in at 9-7 last year and won the superbowl? This mentality is never going to get us anywhere. We are always going to say "next year"
When you put yourself in a position like we've done, you have to ride the momentum and capitalize. We have the chance to win out and play in the post season. All bets are off from there. It could turn out to be something really special, or not. We'll never know if we play for next year though
um no...Why would you concede a game down the stretch?
If he can play effectively, he IS GOING to play
we aren't the Iggles, we have plenty to play for

exactly man...
You don't play it safe when it's this tight down the stretch. At the end of the day we spent all the picks for a reason...for MOMENTS JUST LIKE THIS
"Watching RG3 today is like watching Jordan vs. the Blazers years ago. Waiting for him to shrug his shoulders as he runs by cameras." - John Keim, November 22, 2012. Thanksgiving at Dallas

With all due respect to the OP, this has got to be one of the silliest threads in a long, long time. If Griffin is ready, he plays. If he's not, he doesn't. There is no "rest a QB who's deemed fit to play." That doesn't happen. Won't happen.
There appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel. I just hope it's not a train.
