I think Griffin should be used on a need be basis. If Cousins comes in and plays well against the Browns, allow him to keep playing so RGIII can properly heal. If Cousins starts stinkin up the joint thoguh, he needs to be pulled.

A good thing is that the remaining teams arent all that good, but Cleveland actually worries me the most. If they don't get to Weeden, Josh Gordon is going to have a field day and Richardson gives them good balance. If they can get past Cleveland, I feel good about a10-6 record because the Eagles are a mess and Dallas can't score without Des Bryant(who may be out with his hand injury).

First time I saw RG3 last year on a Baylor youtube vid, the first thing I noticed was I've never seen anyone run like that or move like that (and I'm old, let's just say I've been watching football for many decades). He runs and moves like a cat, I thought. At that time I theorized he was going to be a GREAT passer in the NFL--because of his feet, his balance, the platform he gives himself, the way he can move from the waste down.

I still believe this is the source of his great power and accuracy, and aids his quick release and decision making.

Not happy about a knee injury. I hope Shanahan really limits this part of his game where he puts himself in danger like this. A few extra yards isn't worth shortening his career and how effective he can be.

anybody can against this secondary. madieu williams is the worst starting safety in the NFL. anytime a WR runs past them, look who is 5-15 yards behind trying to keep up.

Forget resting RG3. He is getting around the clock treatment and with a grade 1 sprain he is going to feel really good on Sunday. He'll put that knee in a sleeve and will be ready to roll. We are not good enough to say "It's just Cleveland". They are more than capable of lighting our defense up and we need all hands on deck. I'm confident Shanny and Co. know whether or not RG3 is putting himself at risk by playing.

stupid thread. we already had an identical one earlier today (minus the poll, granted), almost get closed and earn the person a NNT tag for good reason. this opinion could have gone in any number of other threads that already exist.

also, whether to start or sit him depends on how healthy he is, which we don't know yet.

if he can move, he should start.

it's dumb to look past ANY team, let alone one on a 3-game win streak.

we probably have to win out to make the playoffs.

This all depends on how well Griffins knee is. If he is 95% then he plays, if he is only 75% then turn Cousins loose, another very accurate QB. I bet Cousins will put 28-35 points up if Kyle lets him air it out to a red hot receiving core. No way in hell can the Browns cover our receivers, the Ravens couldn't, the Giants couldn't, and Dallas and Philly got torched! Get Morris cranked up then torch them through the air, and lets go home holding at least the 6th seed in the playoffs.

Robert Griffin III injury: Medical experts say there may be risk involved if he plays Sunday

This WP link was working a minute ago, now it's asking to register for some reason. If you have an account it's worth a read.

If Rob isn't at least 90% come Sunday, we should stick with Cousins. We can't risk further injury over one game whether we make it to the playoffs or not. We have to keep his long term health in mind

Exactly. I know Cleveland is a tough out... but if Cousins can win the game, all the better. If Cousins struggles, get Rob back in there.

I chose yes, but I don't like the caveats in the poll. You can still think about this year (and I think you are) by starting Griff.

They are calling for snow on Sunday in Cleveland and I don't think that's the best environment to have the a first game back after a hurt knee.

EDIT: I'd expect better from a city that was so supportive of the Strasburg shutdown. This is embarrassing. "If he can move he should start?" Come on man!?!

The reason why we have offensive success is bc of the read option offense..without rg3 I think our offense would be terrible. Our online sucks at pass protection, they would probably stack the box. Also, other than garçon, no one is red hot imo. RG3 is this whole offense. If he is anywhere near healthy, he's gonna play..it's do or die

There is not gonna be a start Cousins , see how he does...then put rg3 in if he struggles. Why wouldn't you just start rg3 from the get go? If cousins starts, he will finish bc that prob means rg3 isn't even dressing for the game.

If he can go Sunday without causing the injury to linger longer, then go.

But I'd rather have him sit Sunday if by playing he's going to delay the healing of his knee. If one more week of rest gets the knee healthy, isn't it better to have him 100% for the final two games than to be limping around for three?

That article contains quotes from doctors who haven't seen his MRI or worked with him. I hate these kinds of pieces where the reporter complies a bunch of general quotes from doctors that read like a Mayo Clinic website. Sunday can't get here fast enough.

THANK YOU! I seriously can't believe some of the crap I'm reading! Un ****ing Believable! I was a big backer of the Strasburg move even if it meant limiting how well we did in the playoffs in exchange for his & the franchises LONG TERM health & success. I feel the same way about Robert. I could give two ****s if we make it to the playoffs or not, if it means giving Robert more than enough time to heal up!

Say we start him against the Browns, and he hurts himself again, then what??

All the "let Cousins play, and if he sucks, put RG3 in" talk in my opinion is nuts. If RG3 can play, he will play. He won't be replacing anyone. If he doesn't start, he won't be active.

If RG3 let's a 1st degree knee sprain keep him from playing in a game with playoff implications...you can color me shocked.

Oh, and in this very thread, there is a post that calls the "play Cousins to increase his trade value" gang "bat **** crazy", and then in the same post suggests we sit RG3 because if we lose we will get a better 2nd round pick. That's rich.

It's really that easy, Dan. Some of the kids on here are crazy. I can't believe some of the stuff I am reading.
