That's true for 100% of everything on this message board. Yet we still discuss how some ideas have more merit than others.

Sure, but we don't necessarily imply that one idea precludes another.

If we win this Sunday, I bet the house there will be a thread titled:

"Skins NOT in Superbowl would be a letdown"

In any case we do want SF to lose on Sunday to NE, which would make SF extra-motivated to beat SEA the following week.
"Whilst" is a word only used by pseudointellectuals trying to make themselves sound intelligent.

Q: What do you call a drug ring in Dallas?
    A: A huddle!

In terms of US making the playoffs and having many many chances. You want the 49ers to lose, because then if they lose to the Seahawks, and if they lose again to a divisional opponent, we could get their spot if we won out.

I have no doubt the Cardinals could beat the 49ers. Any team can beat any team when they step on the field. The ball bounces funny ways sometimes.

I really beg everyone not to overlook the Browns or Eagles because you may end up disappointed. They're NFL teams too, with players that are dying to say "I made sure RG3 didn't get to the playoffs his rookie year, you know prior to him winning all those rings..."

But back to reality. The Eagles served as our last challenge in 2005 heading into the playoffs. They played us so well, with McNabb sitting on the bench. Hmm, sounds familiar? Who's on the bench in Philly? The Eagles were terrible that year, and they we're on a scoring drive. The late, the great, Sean Taylor ended their hopes and fulfilled ours with that TD!!!!

We are a way better offensively now than in 2005. Not even close.

Heck, we're better offensively than we were in 1991. Well, statistically speaking from the backfield. I had to actually look at the stats to believe it. The big difference is special teams and defense.

A better offense in 2012 to 2005 has absolutely zero impact on that game. There's so many factors you're leaving out. ONE BIG factor is, ****ty teams end up somehow beating divisional rivals in December, and they end up ****ing things up.

    2011 Washington Redskins 23-10 Giants
    2012 St.Louis Rams 16-13 49ers
2011 Miami Dolphins eliminated the Jets from playoff contention with a 19-17 week 17 win
    2011 Buffalo Bills 40-14 Broncos - a playoff team 1 week later.
2011 Colts got their 2nd and final win against against the 10-6 Texans

Do we have a dead argument yet here? No? Need more? Okay.

14-0 Colts lose 2 back to backs in 2009 in the final 2 weeks of the year. One of those losses was to the Buffalo Bills. it was 30-7.
2006 Redskins beat the Playoff Saints 16-10.
2009 Miami beats New England 22-21

All of these were in December..

Oh by the way, Football is played every Sunday, I think the fact of the matter is I watch too much of it.

Final word: When analyzing the 49ers run to the playoffs this year, it's has 2 twists for the Redskins. I might have said this 1,000 times, and the only reason I talk about it, is because it can impact the Redskins. If the 49ers beat the Seahawks, then you stop caring about them. Fact of the matter is, Kaepernick hasn't beaten quality teams. He's 0-1-1 against the Rams. He beat a bad Dolphins team, and a weak defense in the Saints. They're not even doing much with him as he is Dumpoff King the 2nd.

If the Seahawks and the Patriots give the 49ers 2 back to back losses, I have decent odds on the Cardinals finishing them off. The Cardinals might not have a QB, but that situation has time to develop over the next 2 weeks. The 49er's get WAYY too much credit from some people lmao.

I would be extremely happy with #3 seed and a 1st round home game.

That must have been the last time you watched then. It's 3 months later and the Cardinals don't belong in the NFL right now. Zero percent chance they win another game this year.

See that's the beauty of the NFL. If you plugged QB play into a calculator it would favor that team every time. It's funny how important that position is. Besides that Seahawks loss, the Cardinals have miraculously still been in a lot of games this year. They just recently gave Atlanta a ****ing heart attack. But what is not deniable is when they had Kolb playing they were really competing. It's a team sport, that team is still there. It would be nice if you actually brought a legitimate argument to the table instead of vaguely saying nothing.

    Cool.

If you're so confident that the Cardinals won't win another game, please PM me and we can talk about stuff they do in Casinos.

Anything can happen in this league and SanFran is not the beast people think they are, look what NY did to them. If they lose the next 2 and that is very possible, that slump could carry over to the Cardinals who have nothing to lose and play spoiler. Wouldn't that be awesome! A 1st round bye and only 2 games in playoffs, and both could end up being in Fed Ex if the 1st seed is beat.

Nice to find someone with some football eyes on this scenario! I'll be rooting for the 49ers vs the Seahawks though! HTTR!

    Legitimate argument? Ok...

Arizona had 7 first downs and 178 yards in the Atlanta game. They got 6 turnovers from Atlanta and STILL lost. I was unfortunately at the Jets Cardinals game and I don't think I've ever seen a worse football team. If it wasn't for Sanchez being so awful and the fake punt, they wouldn't have scored that game either. 5 first downs and 137 total yards in that one. Seahawks? 10first downs and 154 yards. They have 13 turnovers in the last 3 games. Worst QB and RB situation in football right now and their defense is 3rd worst in the NFL in rushing yards.

Kolb isn't their QB anymore and they haven't been competing since he was. That was over 2 months ago. News flash: teams get better/worse over the course of the season. Skins? Pats? Better. Cards? Bears? Worse. They have an OUTSIDE CHANCE of keeping it close against the Lions only because the Lions are so prone to ****ing things up themselves, but they would need for things to really go haywire. They have ZERO chance against the Bears with Cutler or the 49ers who will be playing for playoffs.

If you're really looking to bet money on the Arizona Cardinals to win a football game, I'd be more than happy to accept it my friend.
