We saw what Rex gives you. He gives you 5 wins in a season with a good defense. Now we have a bad defense. You do the math.

No way! Cousins is the man if The Man can't go!

At the very least, starting Cousins gets more film on him and ups his value if he does well enough. We could get a high pick out of the kid in the future.

I want to see passes thrown to our receivers, not the Browns defenders. We have to win this game and I am way more confident with yes another Rookie like Cousins than Rex. Let Rex fetch Cousins some water or something else.

Let the past stay in the damn past.
Bwahhaahaa I feel the same way. Let Rex fetch a stick but keep him off the field please.

Taking a stance like that is how the media operates - now you will go start a thread and actually advertise his show for him, call in, in a rage. Think shock value. Don't fall for it too hard.

The stance like that has shock value of course, because we all love the shiny new toy. But if it's truly a horrible idea, Rex shouldn't even be on the roster, nor even around our 2 young QB's.

Quantify the difference between the 2, or, what is their or your overall Madden rating? 79... 77?

I think defenses sometimes fall into a trap with Rex. They know they better stay back, because he is just going to gun it early and often. Knowing Rex, they are licking their chops thinking pick 6 INT game hero MVP. Just like teams are doing against Indy now

Mike clearly had enough of Rex that he isn't even the game day backup. Make no mistake, 3 / KC / Rex is always our depth chart no matter the situation.

It's funny, a lot of people keep saying if Cousins has a good game it can up his value in the future. But, what if he has a bad game? lol

Loverro's Wilbon-esque in that he could care less about the local teams. He doesn't even pretend most of the time.

I heard thi. He was playing devils advocate more than advocating Rex to start. He said earlier in the day that he is bringing it up because it was worth a discussion pretty much, which cant knock him for as a radio host.

Apparently it doesn't matter who starts versus Cleveland. Mort just said on Mike and Mike that it probably didn't matter who started that the Skins weren't beating Cleveland.

He's got a point, however Rex hasn't played all season, while Cousins has...

I predict that Rex will dress for this game (be activated), but either RG3 or Cousins starts... even if RG3 starts, his knee is suspetible to being re-aggrivated, so I think he's more likely to leave this game than other games... therefore Rex will probably be activated to at least back-up Cousins.

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

I'm not buying this Cleveland is a team to be scared of business. At least not anymore than the "on any given Sunday" thinking applies.

Oh believe me, I'm not either. I should have added the roll eyes smiley after my previous post. They have a few good players but are not a good team.

I thought I hated Rex Grossman. When he played for the Bears, the fact that he succeeded in winning games pissed me off because I was convinced he was a horrible QB. When he finally came here I was ready to hate him. In fact, I recall telling my friends that having Grossman back up McNabb might be the only way that I would allow myself to root for #5.

The problem is, I couldn't dislike the guy. He's a little weird and certainly limited as a QB, but the guy cares about winning and seems like an incredible teammate. Everyone seemed to love him and that showed last year. I wanted to hate the guy and couldn't...that has to count for something right? I hope Grossman somehow can be a part of this team in some capacity as we experience success. I have no doubt that he's a great mentor for our rookie QBs. Some minor percentage of their success does reflect his leadership and grace in stepping aside.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."
