"Robert Griffin II, a military veteran, told Jim Corbett of USA Today that he was baffled by Parker's comments but didn't want to fire back. RG2 addressed what Parker said.
"He needs to define what 'one of us' is. That guy needs to define that," RG2 said. "I wouldn't say it's racism. I would just say some people put things out there about people so they can stir things up.
"Robert is in really good shape on who he is, where he needs to get to in order to seek the goals he has in life ... so I don't take offense." link

Sigh. Poor Rob. Everytime I see/hear this guy speak, I cringe. He literally struggles with basic English. I'm not kidding. He sounds uneducated. I'm surprised he was able to get into broadcasting.

Can you imagine a war of words between Rob and our resident Merriam-Webster, Jumbo?

This is all I could think when I watched the clip. This guy went to Columbia to study journalism and can't even articulate his thoughts as well as former NFL players who never studied journalism and spent 10-15 years getting beat up on the field before going in to broadcasting.

Does this guy realize how ignorant he sounds? He's basically saying RG3 isn't black enough because he's well-articulated, intelligent and has strong moral character. How does he expect white people to have positive views on his race if he denigrates and demonizes a black man for being nothing short of admirable? Completely unbelievable. I never even looked at RG3 in a racial context before this, sure I knew he was black, but what I saw was a 22 year old young man who was talented and inspirational; a guy that should be a role model for ANY kid. Rob Parker needs to realize that it is people like him that hold black people back. I grew up with quite a few black friends who I saw change from curious and intelligent youths to teenage gangsters because of the negative social pressure on them being well educated. There is still a lot of inequality left in this world, but people like Rob Parker are just as responsible, perhaps moreso, than some racist redneck in halting our progress toward MLK's dream.

Seriously? Am I taking it wrong but is he pretty much asking if Robert Griffin is "Black enough"? There are some people in the United States who are bigots and biased against African-Americans, and now they have to contend with other people who are African-American, who can be biased against you if you don't fit a certain mold?! What the....How about letting people, if they are not hurting anyone, be the way they want to be?! I am just flabbergasted as to how they even let this on the air. Now I appreciate in that clip that Stephen A. saying he cannot believe they had gone there, and I wish I could have watched his full response.

There is entirely way too much over sensitivity going around. This guy is angry because what exactly... RG3 didn't turn out to be Undercover Brother working for B.R.O.T.H.E.R.H.O.O.D. against The Man? Well boo hoo for that reporter guy. I'm sure he'll feel better just as soon as RG3 is featured in ads showing him laughing at a barber shop and elaborately shaking hands with his friends in ways that confuse and terrify white people. In case you forgot "terrorist fist bump", I've just reminded you of it. Plus, as ESPN's man of all peoples noted, he's got braids so it's all good baby.

RG3 is having one of the best rookie seasons the super happy fun football league has ever seen so he's probably thinking he has a shot of getting to the top of the desegregated QB list.
