Thread: Schefter,(and other sources): Cousins Starting

We need this game badly, a division title is on the line! I trust our coaches but I hope they know what they're doing! It's gonna be a tough environment for Kirk and I'm afraid he's gonna throw a few INTs. Hope he proves me wrong.

Dont't get me wrong, I wanted griffin to play tomorrow, and I'm scared ****less right now. But having him play tomorrow if he really isn't ready would be plain stupid. IMO, having him healthy for a LONG time is more important than the instant gratification that would come from us possibly winning the game if he were to play.

I hope that Kirk can help us win this game. It would be nice for the defense or special teams to make some big plays to allow us to get the win. We really need a big game from Alfred Morris. I would really hate for our playoff run to be halted due to a loss to the Cleveland Browns who are usually woeful year after year. As a team we need to go out and win this game.

I have watched a couple of Browns games and I feel like while Weeden stinks, Richardson is a beast in open space and we suck in open space defensively

Does anyone know if griffin will dress and just not start? I can see him going in there if cousins stinks up the joint

I'm cool with Cousins getting the start this week. Scenarios like this justify why we drafted Cousins in the first place. We just need Kirk to make smart decisions and make sure that we don't get caught into the turnover trap. Kirk needs to make the Browns defense respect him with his arm and back them off of the line of scrimmage, in which will give Morris a chance to eat up the entire field like usual. This isn't going to be pretty but we can definitely pull this off and get the victory.

The only game left that remotely concerns me is Dallas. And that's not to say I fear the 'Girls at all. But it's Redskins- Cowboys, where the form book goes out of the window and ANYTHING can happen.

Outside of that, I have us in the dance already.

    Hail.

Stop. It was a freak injury.

Why would you activate RG3 when you're trying to protect & heal his knee? Rex is gonna be #2..

No reason to think Cousins couldn't perform as good as Weeden.Granted Weeden has more NFL game experience but the Redskins offensive scheme and talent is probably a bit better than Cleveland's.

Come on man. You can't say it's not in your head at all. Your in denial if you at least haven't thought about it for a second.

With all due respect, you are as entitled to your opinion as I am in thinking that your opinion is crazy. Do you really think he's scared to play him b/c of what people will say???? This game is do or die for us. If Griffin could play, I have no doubt he'd be the starter tomorrow. I also have no doubt that Mike doesn't really give a crap about what "people" say or think about him.

Please Cap'n Kirk, please don't have a repeat of the Atlanta game. You were decent that game but didn't get it done; hopefully you can work some magic tomm.
