If the Giants win out they will get a playoff spot. They have tie breakers over all of the other non-NFC East teams. The only reason they are behind Minny and Chicago right now is b/c they lose the tiebreaker with Dallas (division ties are resolved first before non-division ties). Since Dallas and Washington play one another, there can't be a 3-way tie in the NFC east anymore at 10-6.

Actually he's correct: he said "playoff spot," not division title." If the NYG win out, they'll be 10-6 and ahead of the loser of the WAS/DAL game in week 17 (who won't be better than 9-7), and they'll have an 8-4 conference record. The best Chicago & Minnesota can do in the conference are 7-5 each.
(this is all assuming that none of the relevant games result in ties)
EDIT: darnit, shoulda refreshed the page before posting........

"Whilst" is a word only used by pseudointellectuals trying to make themselves sound intelligent.
Q: What do you call a drug ring in Dallas?
A: A huddle!
I was checking this on the playoff scenario calculator, and the Giants do still control their own destiny. They need help to win the division, but they win their last two and they are guaranteed at lest the 6th seed.
In a way I hope they make the playoffs so we can knock them out.![]()
The press asked a Redskins executive about the salary cap penalty and the executive responded, "Ask John Mara." So the press asked Mara and he said, “What they did was in violation of the spirit of the salary cap. "
Oh I see now, even though there was no actual salary cap in 2010 according to the CBA, the "spirit" of the salary cap still existed. Thanks for clearing that up Mara.
At risk of thinking way too far ahead, I'd love a rubber match at FedEx to decide who gets to the Divisional Playoff round

Is it bad that I would rather the Skins and Cowboys go to the playoffs than the Giants?
I hate the Cowboys, but they aren't scumbag cheaters.

I'd rather just the Skins go to the playoffs and leave the rest of our division in our wake. I'd rather the Vikings, Bears or Saints get in.
Redskins 2013 Opponents:
Home- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, Kansas City, San Diego
Away- Dallas, NY Giants, Philadelphia, Green Bay, Minnesota, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland
First, I want to say **** the Giants and Mara.
Second, how nice is it to have three teams above .500 and competing for a playoff spot?? I miss our division being awesome.
oops.
Do Giants control their own destiny?
Read above posts, but how are they currently sitting 9th behind Bears, Boys and Chi and still control their own destiny....I understand confertrecnce record, but is common games ahead of that.
Ahhh, whatever, they're losing to Bal next week anyway
