Redskins NFL.Com: With 3 Way Tie, Winner of Cowboys vs Redskins game wins NFC East!

There is no losing to Dallas and winning this division, plain and simple. The Redskins vs Cowboy game is already being talked about moving to Sunday Night Football in the Nations Capital. The winner of this game wins the NFC East as long as all 3 end up in a tie. Here are all the tie breakers.

Redskins-Cowboys could be a play in game
Giants fans don't want to hear it, but football fans should be rooting for the Redskins and Cowboys to win next week. If that happens, the Redskins-Cowboys game in Week 17 will decide the NFC East. No matter what the Giants do in Baltimore.

We even checked on a scenario in which the Cowboys beat the Redskins in Week 17, but there is a tie for the division lead at 9-7. (With the Redskins or a three-way tie with the Giants.) The Cowboys would win that convulated scenario tiebreaker.

Hate that that common opponents comes before conference when it comes to tie-breaking. Meh.

I believe in this team to take care of business these last two games, but I don't want to overlook Philly. I have a feeling in my gut that this season will end with a big win over the Cowboys like in 2007.

I'm worried and eerily not happy after today. So much work still to do man.

If your gut is right, the season wouldn't be ending at all assuming we go into week 17 tied with NY.

    I'm thrilled.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

Dallas is a lucky team, the Redskins are a damn good team, luck will lose! The Redskins will roll over Dallas and Philly

Just a little tidbit on the Cowboys vs Redskins match ups. The Redskins have never lost to the Cowboys when they played for the division title or playoff games

I'd rather be in the scenario where the Giants beat the Ravens (win out) and cowgirls lose to the Saints, and on week 17 we win, we are in or if dallass wins, the giants win the division. Call me crazy but I still hate dallass more than the giants.

This place will reek of depression and anger if we win next week only to lose the division title to Dallas the next week, at home.

Absolutely it will...but that will wear off as we begin to look forward.

The task of beating the Eagles & Cowboys is not un-doable by any means, however the team only has itself to blame. The 3-6 hole they put themselves in is what has put the team in this position.

Me personally, I refuse to be upset regardless of how the season has played out. The 2012 season has shown me enough that this organization finally has it's head on straight and knows what it is doing. The direction is on the uptick, and the future is bright.

That said, lets take care of business against the Eagles next week and then worry about Week 17!

While I don't really expect another 28 point quarter against Dallas, I still think being at home will be huge.

Right now I'm just worried about the O-line injuries. Hopefully Montgomery isn't shelved.

Well lets just hope we win next week and the Cowgirls and Ggirls lose then.
