The conspriacy grows. Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. It really seems like the NFL is out to get us.

Which boggles the mind since RG3 was reported to have sold more jerseys in a single year than any player in NFL history. Redskins merchandise sales are up 280% over last year -- and we were already among the top three in league sales. A thinking man would question why Goodell would collude with Mara to punish one of the most profitable teams. The only thing I can figure is that Mara must have some pretty nasty pictures of Goodell from one of the NFL retreats. OR, maybe Goodell is just monumentally dumb.

All conspiracy hashing aside -- is Jordan Black really THAT good to hurt us by his absence? I don't recall hearing his name very often when citing great plays by our O-line recently. My hope is that someone else will step up and work just as well in virtual anonymity as did Black.

Redskins OT Jordan Black insists NFL knew of his medical condition, prescription that resulted in suspension

Redskins offensive tackle Jordan Black’s four-game drug suspension resulted from his ingestion of a prescribed medicine for a diagnosed medical condition, he said Tuesday. Black insisted he followed the proper steps to clear his use of the medicine with the NFL.
“At no point in my football career have I used a drug to gain a competitive edge,” Black said by phone. “That’s not something I would do. I think if any person with common sense were to examine me physically and knew me knows that that’s not the case at all.
“The Redskins, the team doctor and the NFL knew everything coming in, and they have for a long time. This is something I have tried to comply with them about since the beginning. I have kept them in the loop every step of the way.”
The medicine that resulted in his positive test typically is prescribed for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, according to a report by 106.7 The Fan’s Grant Paulsen, who cited an anonymous Redskins player.
Black already lost his appeal with the NFL, and he is considering his options.

Okay. Probably being picked on because he took Adderall,(as alluded to in the other article). League has been on a hunt for players taking that recently. Also only weighing in a 275.

He is on the kick protection team. No blocked FGs this year says he is doing a good job compared to what we had in the past.

From sources: The NFL Competition Committee is pleased to report that the entire Washington Redskins team has been suspended for use of performance enhancing drugs. Apparently, the entire roster has been consuming quantities of the chemical compound H20, known as 'water' in many popular circles. Sources cannot confirm which variety of 'water' was being used and whether it came from a tap, was modified with a performance enhancing filtering device, or was supplied by a local retailer in plastic bottles. John Mara, esteemed chair of the committee had the following comments:

"I think it is a lamentable situation in Washington. It's clear that the organization was trying to gain a competitive advantage through consuming water. Clearly, based on the copious amounts of inconclusive data and tests, there is something different about the water in Washington. Personally, I think they're lucky they don't lose draft picks."

Redskins players are expected to appeal the suspensions, but it does not appear there will be much chance of success. NFL officials found clearly condemning evidence such as water bottles, paper towels, and disposable cups. Mara followed up his earlier comments in a press conference:

"The NFL has rules in place for a reason. Sometimes, teams think that the rules don't apply to them. It's unfortunate that those teams don't realize that they are not the New York Giants or New England Patriots and actually have to follow the rules. I will also be looking into whether this transgression will require Robert Griffin III to be permanently traded to the Giants for a 7th round pick in the 2042 NFL Draft."

Is it really that crazy to think that some of the higher ups simply want to ruin Danny's day and do everything they can do to so?
I said this in another thread, If Mara had no issues speaking out in public that we should have essentially lost RGIII for not colluding with them what else is going on behind the scenes? One of our players claims he has a legit medical issue the league knows about and the axe falls now? We have all seen people in power abuse that power to their own gain throughout history. It's not something that changes. I mean just look how the Lions got screwed on Turkey day. That horsecrap rule was a direct result of a Redskin play against the Giants in 2010. Mara needs to banned from the league it's plainly obvious he sits as the head of the competition committee with nothing but the well being of his Giants on his mind. In any other business someone operating with an obvious bias like this would be stripped, banned and in some cases jailed.

I hope so. I'm seriously tired of this NFL bull**** with Goodell and Mara. I hope J.Black has all the proof and will sue Goodell for defamation.

    Something has got to change

I bet the NFL was OK with him using this on the down-low as long as he wasn't playing so he could still earn his check.

But once they realized he might be forced into action, they decided to pull the trigger.

Which makes them look even worse. The guy has a viable prescription for a disorder. That's like telling people they can't take medicine for their diabetes in this league.

He has been playing every week on the kick protection team. I hope we don't start getting blocked FGs now.

He is a backup. He may have had to start this week since Polumbus has the concussion. It may not be a backbreaking blow, but its a blow none the less and with the rest of the story that came out, its something worth getting upset about when it seems the NFL just ignores their own diagnosis up until the week we need him to play.
