The national football post has an article right now about the top 5 players on teams practice squads by former NFL scout Russ Lande. The Giants have an offensive tackle named Matt McCants who Lande thinks could develop into a pretty good player. I wish the Redskins would have signed him to replace Jordan Black on the active roster. I'm not saying Mara had anything to do with Black's suspension, I just think it would be nice to stick it to the Giants and take one of there young prospects away from them and it is an area of need for the Redskins. They may feel that McCants and Compton are similiar players though.

^^this^^ -- the moment i saw the headline i thought...sheeshuz..........this is asinine. Jordan Black suspension gets upheld for taking legit, Dr. prescribed medication & Richard effing Sherman has his suspension redacted because of a supposed fault in procedure, yet no proof that his dirty test was tainted from an outside source.

in a vaccuum this makes sense...i wouldn't want anyone to get suspended from anything if proper procedure wasn't followed after it was out of the hands of the tested. however, when they can reverse this appeal & not do the same for Jordan Black on the merits of each situation independently......this is ludicrous.

there is a laundry-list of things that have taken place this year with such an eerie propensity for terrible timing when it comes to how it may effect the Redskins that have been directly controlled by the competition committee. now.....i'm gonna stop short of screaming conspiracy, but........there are too many variables that perfectly fit just such an equation that it is terribly difficult to ignore at this point.

on the other hand...i'm just glad that this seems like a team that maintains the right mentality to simply not give a poop. they'll go out & take care of business, gladly, regardless of who steps on the field for the other side.
