And the Bears Cards game which is at the same time. Eyes also on the Texans Vikings game which is at the same time as ours.

I can almost see London pumping the team up under this scenario.....something like:

FLETCHER: "We gotta chance to go out there today and be division CHAMPS!!! This team ain't been NFC East Champs since 1999 man!!!! What were yall doing in 1999?!?! You know what I was doing?!?!......well, I was playing football, but that's cause I'm old as balls....BUT WHAT WERE YOU DOING?!?! Probably playing Nintendo 64! You wanna go home tonight and end up playing Nintendo 64?!?! Hell NO!!! You want to go home NFC East Champs and throw the ball to yourself tonight on Madden 13 on PS3!!!!.....Let's GO!!! PS3 on 3!!!....1...2..3.....

    TEAM: PS3!!!!

The Cards will have Cutler running for his life. I see many wounded ducks in Cutler's future.

As I said, perhaps you should read the OP.

If both teams go 9-7 the Redskins do not have the tie breaker.

So if we are 2-0 over the Cowboys that tie breaker doesn't come before the common opponents tiebreaker?

It absolutely does. If we tie the Cowboys in the standings by beating them, we win the tie-breaker. If we tie the Cowboys in the standings by losing to them, they win the tie-breaker. It's pretty cut and dry.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

The point is we have to beat the Cowboys to win the division in any scenario.

Exactly. The opportunity to win the division despite losing to Dallas went out the window when the Steelers choked last weekend.

So, as the OP states, winning out guarantees us the division, going 1-1 with the W being against Dallas gives us a shot at the division, and going 1-1 with the W being against Philly gives us a shot at the wild card. I assume there is a very small chance of being the 6 seed if we lose out, but I'm sure it wouldn't fall into place so it's probably not even worth figuring out.

As I said maybe you should reread..... (if the giants lose to the ravens, redskins lose to philly, cowboys win) the redskins are 8-7 going against the cowboys at 9-6 and if the redskins win they both end up 9-7 and the REDSKINS have the FIRST tie breaker which is head to head. Seriously dude you need to read because you're starting to make yourself look really bad. You even have other posters telling you that you're wrong and you ignore it. If you CAREFULLY read what I have said you'll see I have been correct

Yeah definitely not. To think that people were actually thinking that would cost us in the tiebreakers for the playoff race was absolutely bonkers.

I gotcha, it wasn't clear in your posts if you read back.

We have to win against Dallas to win the division in any scenario.

Football Outsiders now has the Skins playoff odds at 80.3% (http://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/playoffodds). That's up 32.5% from last week. And here are the weighted DVOAs of the teams playing the important games for us this weekend (DVOA: defense-adjusted value over average, an objective measure of how good a team is based on analyzing every play):

WAS (10.2%) at PHI (-23.6%) (big advantage WAS)
NYG (10.5%) at BAL (3.3%) (small advantage NYG)
CHI (17.0%) at ARI (-21.6%) (big advantage CHI)
MIN (-10.0%) at HOU (8.4%) (big advantage HOU)

Here's the full table of playoff odds with remaining schedules:

    1. ATL: 100% (Wei DVOA: 7.3%, @DET, TB)
    2. SF: 100% (Wei DVOA: 35.1%, @SEA, ARI)
    3. GB: 100% (Wei DVOA: 17.3%, TEN, @MIN)
    4. SEA: 99.0% (up 6%, Wei DVOA: 44.8%, SF, STL)
    5. WAS: 80.3% (up 32.5%, Wei DVOA: 10.2%): @PHI, DAL
    6. NYG: 50.8% (down 27.6%, Wei DVOA: 10.5%, @BAL, PHI)

    7. CHI: 30.2% (down 32.5%, Wei DVOA: 17.0%, @ARI, @DET)
    8. DAL: 19.9% (up 6.1%, Wei DVOA: -4.0%, NO, @WAS)
    9. MIN: 19.6% (up 13.4%, Wei DVOA: -10.0%, @HOU, GB)

I'm kind of surprised at Chicago's high weighted DVOA (higher than WAS, NYG, and ATL) and Dallas's low DVOA despite winning 5 of the last 6. These stats also suggest that playing in Seattle (highest weighted DVOA in the entire NFC) might not be the ideal first round playoff opponent.
