I feel like people often forget that the last year both Landry and Rogers were on this team, we had one of the worst defenses in the league.

Good riddance to both.

As for Landry, he played well for Shanahan in his first season before he got hurt. Now, it is an open question whether or not Landry ever fully recovered from that injury. If he hasn't, then he's probably not worth looking at.

I'd take Reed Doughty over LaRon Landry every day of the week and twice on Sunday. And I'm not joking. I know a year of Madieu Williams has people thinking crazy, but LaRon is used goods.

This!!! For all the flack that people on here throw at Doughty, the truth is that he plays his ass of for this team. He will play in any capacity that is asked of him without bitching or moaning. He may not be the best safety nor possess the best skills, but he gives everything he has on every play, special teams or defense. He isn't out there trying to get on ESPN highlight reels. He is not out there celebrating like a retarded school kid after making a tackle, and , believe it or not, he actually does make plays for this team. If Landry had half the heart for this team and for the game as Doughty does, he would be an outstanding player. However, Landry only thinks and cares about one person, and we all know who that is.

I watched all or part of six Jet games this year, and don't remember Landry making one play. At all. Seriously....all I saw was him in the picture after a tackle thinking......I've seen this before.

He has made some plays for the Jets in the run game, but relying on him to cover guys in the slot, or over the top is a mismatch waiting to happen.

What I was seeing was a pass play, reciever tackled, pile breaking up and then Landry came in the picture. A pretty familiar picture.

If he comes back he doesn't come as a safety. He comes back as a pass rusher/3rd down specialist. I don't care where you have to put him to make that happen that is his only job, bring pressure. Put him on the field with Rak, Kerrigan rushing and look out. His athleticism, speed and tackling ability would be a big bonus in that role and he's about the size of a LB now anyway.

I know that is completely ridiculous and has no chance of happening which is basically my way of saying, no, Laron is not welcome in DC anymore.
