LoAl goin to the island !!! WOOHOO! Congrats, if anyone deserved it, its you. A beast on STs and doing pretty good on the line too.
I will say I was a bit surprised to see Morris didn't make it at least as an alternate, but he will have plenty of years to fix that little prob.
Best news of all, the probowl won't have alot of Cowboys on the field, which does give some merit [ at least this year ] to it being a little more fair.
Now we get to see some 'Griffining' in Honolulu...

****in Laron Landry made it. Straight up joke.
Not sure if this was an error, but it made me laugh.
Most fans wish their team had the first pick in the draft each year. I would be happy with the 32nd.

Fletcher is just as or even better than any of those guys (Lewis, Urlacher, Willis), he just, for whatever reason, doesn't have that "IT" factor. Whatever "IT" is.

    And for kicks...
Perry RIley 119 tackles 3.5 sacks 0 Ints

So, as it has always been, its a popularity contest...
I know, I'll be looked at as the sad sack for saying this but...

Stats are not the end all be all of the story...especially when it comes to a Linebacker.

Pat Angerer the #4 guy in the league for tackles last year. I assure you, the guy was not the 4th best MLB in the league. Why? Because in that teams particular case their offense was so horrid the defense got on the field a bunch allowing him to be on the field to make a bunch of tackles.

If you have a stout front line or another stout MLB you may show up with less tackles. Ditto if you have solid pressure, resulting in more bad passes and or/sacks, taking away the chances of tackling. Another odd thing that can affect it...if you're giving up passes to your guy that you're covering you'll get more chances at tackling then someone who manages, through good defense, to have receivers making less catches while covering them and thus not getting a chance to tackle.

I'm not saying Fletcher doesn't deserve to go...he's been balling these past few games for us...but I'm saying just throwing stats up there and acting like this is some kind of end all evidence doesn't work too well. I'll kindly remind the fellow fans on here about earlier in this season when there was talk all over this board from fans regarding whether Fletcher was too old, if he was going to be gone last year, if he lost it, etc. I remember some times earlier in the year when Fletcher was clearly getting juked on plays people thought he'd get in the past where the comments came from. It's easy to forget the early season thanks to the big plays he's made lately...but this is the same gripe people make about Wilson (in terms of less good early season compared to hot right now).

I don't think it's unreasonable to see Willis and Bowman in there.

HUGELY happy for Trent, whose really turned a corner this year. It's wonderful seeing RG3 be there and just puts another notch on his resume for OROY compared to the other guys. And amazingly glad to see Zo get recognition for the special team beast he is. Hoping to see one of the RB's not go so that Alfred can get his spot. I think that's a far more reasonable argument of a snub than Fletcher this year.

As I believe someone may have stated....it's too bad none of our guys will make Hawaii. I hear New Orleans is nice that time of year....

my congrats to all three...RGIII was as close to expected as you could...ummm...expect, but Trent Williams wasn't a lock & i am very happy for Lorenzo Alexander. i thought that Will Montgomery might make it...but it was a long shot as well.

anyways...congrats to all 3......hopefully we'll get even more in next year!

Forgot about that. Would've really thought Monty would've managed to potentially get an alternate roll for Center. Guess there's a chance he would've if the guy that just got Benched wasn't one of the main people on the primary roster

Congratulations to these guys, they are well deserved of it. I believe Alfred Morris got snubbed big time, no way Frank Gore should have beat him out.

    On Washington Redskins Facebook Page:
The NFL announced tonight that Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, left tackle Trent Williams and linebacker/special teams ace Lorenzo Alexander were named to the 2013 Pro Bowl. Additionally, linebacker London Fletcher and running back Alfred Morris were selected as Pro Bowl alternates.

I wonder how far down the list of alternates London and Alfred are. Would love to see them both go.

I'm really happy for Griffin, Trent, and Lorenzo. All three have played superb seasons and definitely deserved it.

Also can't help but feel a little smug that Griffin is in and Luck is out.

I would have liked to see them get in on their own, along with Montgomery, but it's better than nothing.

That makes how many "alternate" designations for Fletcher?

How is Alfred Morris an alternate? He's the 4th leading rusher in the league. Gore has less yards and less TD, unbelievable.

Woah there buddy. Judging ILBs goes further than just numbers. London struggles in coverage and in space. Willis can cover some wide outs and a sideline to sideline freak he also doesn't miss tackles London does. I love him but he is not as good or better than Willis you could argue the other two though.
