Default For once our offseason needs will be about refining and not rebuilding

Believe me I am convinced that this year is far from over and I predict we will be in Green Bay in the NFC championship in a match up that I would love as a Skins fan. With that said... it is so refreshing to not have to start over again this off season. Just looking at our injured reserve/suspension list I see that offensivley we get back Helu Jr, Fred Davis, Jamal Brown, and Jordan Black and on defense we get back Tanard Jackson, Merriweather, Carriker, Orakpo, Bernstein, Neild, Robinson, and don't forget about Chase Minnifield.
I know we won't have all of these guys back, but I got to believe we will not lose a single guy we wish to retain. Washington is now back to being a place where people want to be!!!!!!!!!!! Between the return of these guys and the further development of our guys like Leribus, Gettis, Compton, etc.. our off season won't be about big splashes and to that I say: finally!!!

Im most excited about adding Davis and Helu to the mix. I'm also excited about the offensive creativity. Last night it looked like the Redskins added more shifting into the play calling.

THAT is what a franchise QB does. Period
The soldiers gave three cheers as they urged their tired horses north across the uneven hills. Some of the mounts, exhausted after a week of almost continual marching, began to lag behind; others, spurred on by their enthusiastic riders, began to edge past the regiment's commander. "Boys, hold your horses," Custer cautioned; "there are plenty of them down there for us all."

Agreed. Two great weapons on third down and a home run threat for giving Alfred Morris a break. Royster has picked up his game in the last few weeks but he doesn't have Helu's cut and gone ability.

My biggest concern will be the cap situation. You're right though - we will just need some tweaking in places from the way things look.

Jamal Brown and Jordan Black will not be back next year.

RT is the spot on offense we really need a new starter for - the rebuilding will be in our secondary where we have to find a starting quality FS as a minimum in free agency along with maybe a CB. Then we can draft BPA.

Will be interesting what the Redskins decide to do at the safety and cornerback positions.

I'd also like to add a guy that could fill the role Brandon Banks was expected to fill. But that is a position that can be filled with a 4th round.

We don't need a first round pick with this current roster.

Of course we need a first round pick - we need as much talent as we can get. The rest of the NFL are not going to sit on their hands and neither can we. Of course we don't have a first round pick and we are going to have to work without it and it need not be fatal if we can fill some needs in free agency - but we certainly have need of the talent that pick would have brought.

I agree that you always need a first round pick to keep adding as much talent as possible ... but ...

With the talent on this roster, the talent we are getting back, and the opportunities through the draft and free agency ... we dont NEED a first round pick.

Last year, we NEEDED a first round pick. Franchise QB(s) change that.

Robert is worth every one of those picks we traded, every single one. And I believe that Allen and Shanahan can pick the talent we need with our remaining draft picks and in free agency. Players will want to play on our team, just like Garcon and Morgan did this year, and sign with us. It's a great position to be in, someone wanting to be a Redskin and not just for the payday, but for the thrill of the game!
