Having Trouble Posting Pictures

I did a search, couldn't find the exact help I was looking for.

How do I post pictures say from my cellphone or saved on my computer? The only thing I have figured out is posting them from google images by putting the website copy and paste into the picture icon above. I'd like to share other pictures at times that I have from places other than google images. Any help is appreciated, I am computer dumb. Thanks in advance!

Did you upload your sig? If so, it works the same way.

First, you need to find a site that will host your pics for you - preferably for free. I use imageshack.us. But there are others.

You can use whatever site to upload photos from your device to their site.

Once you do that and you can see the photo on the site the way you want to see it, you can grab the naked url for the photo. You can get it by right-clicking on the photo, or they may have it for you to copy. But right-clicking is simple. After you rightclick the photo, you'll see the option in a menu (the exact wording depends on what browser you're using).

Next paste the url in a post and bookend it with [img] and [/img].

The photo will appear in the post. It it's an oversized photo, it will automatically be made smaller, but readers can view the full size by clicking on that photo in the post.

Simple.

Thanks Mark, I had no idea I am supposed to upload them to a host site. My ignorant self doesn't even know what that is but I'll go to the site you mentioned and figure it out I'm sure. My signature is made of 4 pictures off of google image searches since that's the only way I know. Thanks!
