Robert is a warrior, its his nature and I am centertainly glad he had the heart to try to gut it out.
But for some of you to suggest he should have sat him self down is totaly ludicrus.
All year fans, media, coaches have all said that the fate of the Skins rest on Roberts shoulders.
And the fact that he tried to stay in there and compete tells me that we have a great future on the horizon.
Nobody picked this team to get this far, and we got here on his shoulders.
I'll take what RG3 did today over the Jay Cutler thing.
What happened to Jay Cutler

I think something similar happened to Ladainian Tomlinson.
I cant imagine what people would say about RG3 if he quit. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
I can't blame RGIII. He wears that C on his shoulder because he's the kind of guy that's going to fight until he's physically unable to. I was one of the people that thought the team should've put Cousins in there after halftime, but I don't blame RGIII one bit. He wants to be out there, leading his team to victory. If he had taken himself out, he would've been called a quitter (and maybe deservedly so). No, that decision was up to the coaching staff. They should've known that a guy as competitive as RGIII might not always do what's best for himself. They should know that a guy like RGIII isn't going to take himself out of the game. That's not how he's wired. That's why he's a winner. That's why he's already done, and will continue to do, great things for this franchise.

The man has been playing football since he was on a pee-wee team. Having so much passion for 1 thing, could you separate yourself from it easy and willing? I doubt it...
See ya'll when free agency starts and in April ...

This is ridiculous, shut this thread down

RGIII is a rookie with that rookie gleam in his eye. If the man can stand he will ask to play in the game. Let us not forget, he begged to play in the Cleveland game and if it was up to him he would have.
The coach is supposed to use his head not his heart, and do the right thing, which was to pull RGIII after he re-aggravated his knee.

Umm.....who cares?
Robert couldn't even bend over without the knee buckling....was all he could do to make it to the sidelines.
He was hurting the team...but let's not bench him!1 Holy crap no!! Might hurt his wittle feewings.....
He needed to man up and put team before ego and he couldn't do it.
Hope he learns from this.......
i don't understand how so many people can defend rg3. he showed the character to take himself out of the ravens game, and he should have done the same thing tonight. of course shanahan shares the blame, but it's not all on him. if my best player says he can play, i'm probably gonna play him. you can't ignore the fact that rg3 has lied to the media and probably the redskins staff about his health. i admire that he wants to play, but he has to be mature enough to admit he shouldn't play and responsible enough to take care of himself.
that being said, i wouldn't replace shanahan or rg3 with anyone.
Quoted for truth. I refuse to be disappointed in the primary reason we're a playoff caliber team, a guy who singlehandedly pumped life in the franchise and a guy whose heart and pride will not allow him to quit/give up. That's my type of leader.

"If you're not running with us...you better be running from us..."
I am disappointed in the OP
Winning really brings the idiots out. Logging off for the day.
Redskins @Redskins
Fletcher on Griffin III wanting to play: "we're talking about playoffs". It's a win or go home situation & players want to be out there
