Correct, they have a good idea of what may "potentially" be wrong.
But they don't want to say it's say a complete tear when the MRI is inconclusive for partial or complete tear because of said inconsistencies in MRI because of joint effusion, or artifact, or other anomalies that can crop up during an MRI.
It's true it can be pure subterfuge though. I'm just say it's potentially logical that this is a correct explanation and not Shanahan trying to evade like everyone is saying.

Here's the deal.
When you have an injury to one of the ligaments in your knee the others are overly stressed and when you have a previously repaired ligament in there it is no wonder the ACL gave out. He's done for 2013, it's time to start talking about Cousins.
