I don't know...it seems that it is very likely that he will have one surgery this week and then quite possibly another, more serious one at a later date. Hopefully they don't have to wait too long between procedures.
All that's really been communicated is that the least important ligament is torn...which we all assumed given its been injured for a month. I don't think anything that I've read rules out further, more significant damage.

"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

I hear ya! It was just being thrown around after the injury, and apparently is the one that can severely hamper a return to professional sports.. Something about 50% return fully, 30 return with limited mobility, 15% never return.. So, just worst case scenario being talked about I suppose.. Relieved it's not being mentioned any longer though!![]()
For those who actually believed Shanny was lying about the initial injury and risked RG3 Future by letting him go bad in the baltimore game.
From ESPN: http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2012...cording-source
"On Monday, Andrews told The Washington Post that "Shanahan didn't lie about it, and I didn't lie."
"I didn't get to examine (Griffin's knee) because he came out for one play, didn't let us look at him and on the next play, he ran through all the players and back out onto the field," he told the newspaper.
"Coach Shanahan looks at me like, 'Is he OK?' and I give him the 'Hi' sign as in, 'He's running around, so I guess he's OK.' But I didn't get to check him out until after the game. It was just a communication problem. Heat of battle. I didn't get to tell him I didn't get to examine the knee. Mike Shanahan would never have put him out there at risk just to win a game."

If "How is RGIII" thread on ExtremeSkins gets above 300 pages, Team sources say RG III will donate an inspirational quote to show he's down with the cause
So, can RG3 win Comeback Player of the Year next year.
We still know very little about the extent of the injury, I don't understand how people can be so excited.
Can a smart person explain why it is so hard to figure out what is wrong with the ACL?
Most of the time serious ACL tears are known about quite quickly after they've been inside the knee I thought.
"Watching RG3 today is like watching Jordan vs. the Blazers years ago. Waiting for him to shrug his shoulders as he runs by cameras." - John Keim, November 22, 2012. Thanksgiving at Dallas
