This was last night. Andrews has said nothing at all after the surgery. So there is no definitive idea, because until Andrews got in there he did not know for sure. I want to hear his assessment now, but from him actually and not 2nd hand.

Me too. But I am going with his original of 6-8 as the best timeframe simply because he did the MRI and the exams and has the most accurate take on it. If it changes, so be it, but I still consider his better than others simply because they have no first hand knowledge of the exact injury.

I seriously doubt that Mark Adicks who did the first one is a quack since he has a thriving medical practice and is a former pro athelete and Redskin himself. Is it really necessary to have to put down the first surgery since RGIII got hurt again? Probably not.

I don't think most of the comments are meant to "put down" his first surgeon (with the exception of RiverboatGambler's "half assed hack job" comment). He may be equally skilled to Andrews. But all we know now is that Andrews felt that the existing state of the ACL is not sufficient for an athlete like RG3. So, the assumption is that Adicks may be good, but Andrews is even better in this particular case.

I wonder if Andrews actually said that or if Mort was going off of the his own estimates. I really never read anywhere that Andrews was Quoted himself as saying anything. So I don't know. I watched ESPN this morning they had their own Dr. give estimates 6-8 months but never said anything about Dr. Andrews give statements. So..with this circus who knows?

I think that is why the recovery estimates are quite optimistic.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter. What matters is whether they replaced the original graft with a new one (revision ACL procedure) or were able to repair the original graft. The former is unfortunately more likely.

This is what I'm waiting for too. Hopefully by Dr. Andrews himself and not Shanny. I want to hear from the person who did the surgery and saw the damage.

I hope so to, but I highly doubt Dr. Andrews will speak directly to the public about RG3 (doctor patient confidentiality), more likely the news will come from shanny.
