    From TK's Thread:

STATEMENT FROM JAMES R. ANDREWS, M.D., ANDREWS INSTITUTE
REGARDING PROCEDURE PERFORMED ON ROBERT GRIFFIN III

"Robert Griffin III had successful knee surgery early this morning. He had a direct repair of his LCL and a re-do of his previous ACL reconstruction. We expect a full recovery and it is everybody's hope and belief that due to Robert's high motivation, he will be ready for the 2013 season.

The goal of his treatment is to give him the best opportunity for a long professional career."

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

There we go... if the team has this hope, so should we. If anyone wants to be a Debby Downer go ahead... I'm hopeful and expect more success next year.

This isn't comparable to taking calculated risks on a sprained knee during a playoff run. The team is not going to risk his career.
It's like people want the doctors to make a personal stop at their house and tell them every detail. Maybe they should write up a paper that gives every exact detail for ever athlete they fix up. Everyone is different.

I would not read it like that and any other MD would likely agree. I would read it as revision ACL reconstruction. But again, we don't know for certain.

RG3 will be throwing darts to his dad tomorrow from his bed. The bed is designed to make him feel like he is standing up.

I'm going by things like that and other statements I've been reading.

But hey, I'll just assume a "re-do" means completely taking out an ACL and putting in an entirely new graft since everyone wants to believe that despite no one saying that other than RGIII's dad saying the word "replace" in a tweet this morning.

I don't know what type of news you're expecting. Having successful surgery is about all you can expect to hear the day of the procedure. I don't have any experience with this, but would have to imagine that a new time table won't be available until Griffin actually starts trying to do things on his knee. The next couple months should be pretty boring for us.
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

So when Robert comes back and is introduced for his first game returning to the line up think they will go with the theme from the old show "The Six Million Dollar Man". Oh yes we can rebuild him and make him better. Although in todays market may need to change that Million to a Billion or more likely Trillion.

I hope you're right and it's a tightening. But the odds are against that, and you are welcome to research the literature. The doctor using the word "re-do" is rather telling as well. But I'm speculating and I freely admit it, therefore, none of you should take my word on this.
