Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.Originally Posted by suze109

@mikemp71 From what I was told it was only a matter of time before the repair from 2009 gave.

@mikemp71 was explained to me as.. fixing a radiator hose with the belt off you r pants. 09 was a quick fixed aimed at a fast recovery.

@mikemp71 The way he runs/plays was a matter of time. This fix is stronger..
John Keim @john_keim OK, talked to Dr. Lehman again. He said 6-8 months for RG3 is realistic because just doing repair on LCL, and not a graft, matters greatly
Also, after reading about ACL injuries to begin with, the don't even know exactly WHY 2nd or more surgeries are less likely to return a person to normal. Most of the time its age and the person's body, but for all the people claiming that its a guarantee that the player has less of a chance of being back to what they once were, thats not entirely true.

they're still doing studies on it. The fact that it WASN'T completely torn or all that damaged should give hope that the new graft will be much stronger than the original and allow him to return completely normal, regardless of what number surgery it is.
Basically his new one should be like his old one, just built to last longer. I realize this won't stop speculation that he won't return to normal, but I think people should know theres more to it than just "well after the first one, hes just not good as he use to be". Its more about that persons body and if it keeps tearing, its often because the body didn't accept it as much as it should and strengthen like a native ligament would. Maybe I'm wrong or interpreting it wrong.
But I assume if Dr. Andrews has confidence he'll be back 100%, then he doesn't feel like RGIII's knee is going to be in bad shape after healing.

If he did all this on a "ready to pop at any moment" ACL, what is he going to be like after Dr Andrews fixed him up?
Good god, Man
Whatever the reality of the injury and surgery the team and RGIII need to be conservative on his rehab programme and getting him 100% ready before he gets cleared to practice and play. If he pushes too hard or comes back too early and there is another injury I dont even want to think about what that would in terms of his career.
