    Here's an interesting question?

We have all heard of guys tearing and coming back from an ACL. We have all heard of guys tearing and coming back from an MCL.

Can anyone remember anyone tearing and coming back from an LCL? I struggle to remember anyone even sustaining this injury.

I imagine many other surgeons...especially surgeons being employed by a kid still in college who at that point was being thought of as a WR candidate for the NFL...may look a little poor in their best efforts compared to the guy considered the Best in the World.

I'm sure the former doctor didn't do a poor job or wasn't skilled himself. I think the more realistic notion is that this guys best was still under the standards of the best orthopedic sports surgeon in the world. I imagine this would be akin to comparing a really good blue chip college player to Michael Jordan. That kids game isn't bad, hell at that level it's damn good....but it pails in comparison to what the greatest in the business can do.

I wouldn't rag on the other doctor all that much, but rather be thankful we have the best of the best taking action now.

No problem, and I'm sorry too. I only posted what people were saying about the first doctor on twitter b/c I thought it was crazy lol. Andrews is the best surgeon for this type of stuff, so I believe Griffin is in good hands.

Not sure why, but this may be my favorite post in this thread.

Post #3259...just try to slow him down! He can't do that, it's not in his brain, you know, the one HE has. He wouldn't take himself out of a game, even in pain, and knowing he could be really hurt. Rebecca better have him under...um, control...just sayin'. Ice, ice baby...keep the machine working(boss's son almost ruined his knee last year in H.S. football, and they had a machine that kept the cold rotating around the knee), and don't LET HIM do more than the doctor says.
We're counting on Rebecca now...let's keep her in our prayers as well. She loves him on a different level than we fans do.

I dunno, but I think it is a concern. It's your lateral movement, it's escaping the pocket, it's planting on the run to throw; things RG3 does. But I'm no expert. I would think since we haven't heard any stories of LCL's ruining careers then it isn't likely Hopefully it's the kind of thing that truly becomes 100% again.

Maybe Griffin is such a freak of nature that he's the only player with a fourth knee ligament. Honestly, who had heard of a LCL before December?
"Washington strolled to the NFC championship, outscoring their two playoff opponents by a combined total of 48 points. Their domination was more than impressive, it was historic. The 1991 Redskins boasted the largest average margin of victory among all Super Bowl champions."

So in light of the children who were cutting for Justin Bieber. I think we should do something extreme (considering we are allegedly extremeskins). I say we all tear our lcl and acl, and receive surgery so we too can go through RG3s struggle. We can call it Popping for RG3, Caring for Cornball

By the way, was nothing ever said about his hand after his smacked that helmet? He was holding it after throws, was it not at least bruised or anything?

Heard back from Dr. Andrews via text on RG III - as he did on Tuesday & now again Wednesday - he says the #Redskins will not let him talk.

That's what I was saying before. That had he not had the lcl surgery he might have blown the acl next season even worse. Redo the whole knee and it'll be better than it was this season.

That's a shame but I understand where redskins are coming from. Rg3 probably isn't saying much either unlike he did after the ravens game.

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

Very interesting. Sounds like RG3 was an ACL waiting to happen before he even got here. If that's the case then what has transpired here may not be as bad as everyone is making out.
