I laud RG3 for his work ethic, but don't want his eagerness to get rehabbing to affect the ability to heal the knee.
I've had two knee surgeries and shoulder surgery. On mine I can say they started rehab as soon as I was awake. No, nothing strenuous but stability exercises. They would have me tighten my quad (knee) or squeeze a rubber ball (shoulder). This took place as soon as I came out of anesthesia. HTTR

My knee surgery was 15 yrs ago (and my memory is a bit hazy on the details) but I don't recall rehabbing that soon. That was 15 years ago and I wasn't a pro athlete, either.

College counts sacks as negative running plays and RGIII got sacked a lot at Baylor.

As others have already mentioned, you start as soon as possible.

Assuming it was Synvisc, which it sounds like, that is correct.

That's nice and all but is anyone tired of hearing from his dad? It seems like he talks more than RG3 does about things... Its on the verge of being unprofessional to me.

He is just talking so people will leave RGIII alone. What is unprofessional about it? RGII doesn't work for the Redskins or for us. He can do what he wants.

I had a spiral fracture of my right middle finger about 11 years ago -- found some &$%@! in my car one night after clubbing and fought with him (I figured that if he didn't immediately shoot me, I was ok; besides, he just wanted to flee). I grabbed him and he twisted, thus the spiral fracture. Surgery involved pins and such though I don't recall the deets except the doc had to tack a tendon down. Anyway, I was in a soft splint for about a month or so and man did that finger stink when it came off. Anyway, rehab was a be-yotch. When you don't move a joint for that long, the muscles ossify. I literally had only a few degrees of bend in my knuckle. Oh, originally, my finger, from the knuckle, was bent 90 degrees right. To this day, when I let my hand slacken, there's still about 15 degrees of bend. Anyway, rehab consisted of dipping my hand in hot wax for a few minutes, then all kinds of bending exercises. You think it's simple, but your muscles are useless from inactivity and you have to really struggle to bend the finger. 3 months of 2x/week rehab plus daily exercises on my own. Thankfully I was insured. Can't play guitar as well as I used to (pick holding). It gave me a huge new perspective on what athletes go through when they are injured. Oh, and that bone is slightly noticeably larger than its counterpart due to bone growth caused by recovering from the injury. Get well RGIII -- but do it properly. We want you to grow old winning SBs in D.C.

I know and I agree that its not that big of a deal but for some reason it bugs me. Personally, to me, I feel that some of the stuff he's said is borderline the team's responsibility to release to the public. I just wish he'd let RG3 or the Redskins deal with the public.

I get that, but honestly(not directed at you) but with the way people complain about what the Skins say and how they say it and then assume it is a lie, I can't really blame the Skins for not saying much.

How "professional" is a dad supposed to be? How does a dad even behave like a "professional"?
