"Talk is cheap. You've got to do it on the football field,”
I support whoever is the Quarterback for the Washington Redskins. If Capt Kirk leads the Skins to a winning record cause Griffin isnt 100% healthy, I will be happy but would want Griffin starting once he is back in shape and full health. Griffin is the franchise QB of the Redskins and has every ability Cousins has and more.
RGIII, when FULLY recovered, is our franchise QB. RGIII is must see TV when he is under center. He makes our offense dynamic in ways that few QB's do in the NFL. Cousins has certainly shown that he is a capable backup. He may even be a good starter, and may be able to win games. But....RGIII is not Alex Smith, and Cousins is not Kapernick. RGIII, IMHO, gives the Redskins the best chance to win consistently. Cousins makes me feel better about our chances of winning a game than Grossman ever did.....but Cousins is not RGIII. I want the BEST QB on the field for us.....
But, to be honest, I do not want to see RGIII back on the field until he is completely ready.....and there is no "confusion" between Shanny and Dr. Andrews....nor any discussion between the QB and his coach over what it really means to be injured or hurt.

You know, the sad part of all this bull**** talk about RG3 being ahead of schedule, ready to go, healing faster than AP etc etc is that the Redskins and the Shanahan's will take a beating as the ones behind pushing him to play. If he does start week 1, then god forbid something else happen, you'll have the ESPN nut huggers along with the typical uneducated Redskins fans up in arms calling for Shanahan/Bruce Allen/Synder's head on a plate.
I swear, if I was the Redskins I would just announce today that he's shutdown for the 2013 season.. This has disaster written all over it, mark my words this is going to end badly. It's lose/lose unless you just shut him down for 2013 regardless of if he's ready or not. If he starts week 1 and breaks a fingernail they will blame it on mishandling.
Play him when he's ready. He goes out and sets QB records, they write about something that puts food on table and is safe- ie Skins/RG# are genious. He goes out and gegts hurt, they write about something that puts food on table and is safe- RG3/Skins idiots.
Don't try to avert 'disaster'. Play to win the game. Inherant risk involved. Sitting a healthy player is living life in its antithesis- it goes against the ingrain trait of every organisms inner drive.
Stop the Violence
RIP Sean Taylor, may your passing serve as a message to others.
This has to be one of the DUMBEST posts I have read on ES in a while.
You do realize that the person saying all the "bull**** talk", as you call it, about RG3 being way ahead of schedule is Dr. James Andrews.
You do know who he is, right? Dr. James Andrews is a world-renowned doctor, considered the best in this field of medicine. He just happens to be the guy who, you know, diagnosed RG3's condition, performed the surgery on him, and is now assisting in his rehab.
I mean, I know he doesn't have the medical credentials you brillant ES doctors have but let's cut the guy a break. Andrews is the one saying that RG3 is way ahead of schedule. If he is saying that, then we are going to stand up and take notice. Sorry if that bothers you.
The rest of your post is even more ludicrous. Sit RG3 for THE ENTIRE 2013 SEASON?!? Even if he is 100% healthy and ready to go?!?
Why? Because if he gets an owie, you're worried about what Mike Wise will write in the paper, or what Chad Dukes will say on TV? That is just idiotic. **** them, who cares what they say.
Going by your logic, heck, we might as well just wrap RG3 in lamb's wool, stick him on the bench, and leave him there for the rest of his career. No reason to EVER risk the wrath of those meanie reporters, huh? Of course, eventually, they'll start criticizing the Redskins for NOT starting RG3. Maybe even try and claim there is some racism behind it.
Darn it, there goes that lose/lose thing again you were talking about.
Do yourself a favor.... let the doctors treat the patient, let the coaches handle the players, and let the team worry about the PR.
You are obviously no good at it.
