People that wanted RG3 out of the game wanted that because he was INEFFECTIVE while injured, not that he was just injured. If RG3 was throwing perfect passes on his bum knee, nobody would give a **** and love that he was in there scoring points. And he may have had just the same chance of reinjuring it.
Yes, it has more to do with the fact that he was ineffective, than that he was injured. If a player is playing well in a playoff game, you sort-of have to play him, even if he's at an increased risk for major injury(or at least you can argue that leaving him in is justified). However, when he's both at an increased risk for major injury, and is playing poorly in ways that are very likely to be related to his injury, how can you defend keeping him in?

And on top of that after he threw he would keep his right foot sordove suspended in the air. This just makes me sick

One thing that's being lost amongst these posts is how the injury is going to affect the quality of life for Robert Lee Griffin III the person. Rehab is a long, painful, and grueling process for not only Robert but for those closest to him. No one wants to see their fiancé, son, brother, grandson, or friend experience the pain and adversity of rehab.

His mind must be racing now. The amount of emotional stress must be agonizing.

This has been such an excruciating day in light of the rumors surrounding Griff's knee. I've reached the point where i'm not even worried about next season when it pertains to whether Griffin will be able to play or not. I don't want Robert to rush back from this and completely heal regardless of how long, I just feel terrible that such a bright star has to go through this experience. Everyone can look at the stats and easily see that he has brought so much joy to the area, this fanbase, and the organization but stats don't reflect how unique and special he is as a human being. I'm just beyond the sports aspect at this moment, this is just tragic in every sense of the word.

I have absolutely nothing important to add to this conversation, but can I just say how heartwarming it is to see how much we truly care about this man. 110 pages and counting. And it's just his knee (I know in football terms, that's pretty much like his heart). I just think it's awesome how we all (myself included) are freaking out (in a positive way) about the future and well being of the most beloved man in Washington sports.

I have never done so much research on LCL's and ACL's in my life.

Get better RG3. We love you.

There are only 2 things that can come of this. He truly is out of this world...and gets stronger, smarter, better. Storybook material. Or the knee is never the same and he becomes Bo Jackson. This is extremely uneasy for a fan, I can only imagine how he and those close to him feel.

Truly a snakebit franchise with one season of happiness and hope occasionally drizzled in.

    Ugh, so disappointed and dejected...

Ugh, possibly a complete tear of the ACL

Not snakebit but stupid. There is no excuse for him to have been in the game. Shanahan, the coaching staff, and the training staff are all complete idiots for keeping him out there when he was clearly injured and hurting the team. I feel so bad for RG3 right now.

I'm gonna be honest, this single handedly ruined this season for me. It's a shame because it was a hell of a season too! It was the most fun I had as a Skins fan in years. That's all over now. I can't even enjoy our division title knowing we may have lost our franchise quarterback.

Good point. Through all the bickering between fans the bottom line is we all love our Skins and we all love our QB. When Fox showed the crowd shot of RG3 laying lifeless you could literally see some fans tearing up.

He will recover from this guys. He just showed us all what a warrior he is. Do you think this is going to keep him down. He is one of the brightest most determined young athletesI have ever seen. If anyone can recover from this, it is him.

He will use this, he will take the criticism he and MS and the team have received and it will fuel him on his rehab. The greats use every slight they can as motivation. Griffin is going to come back from this and he and the Redskins will be better for it.

The best thing we can do is stop criticizing everything and everybody(except the field) and keep positive and send out best wishes and support to our teams hurting leader.

I am normally a rational and perhaps cynical person, but I can't shake this feeling he will be back better than ever and ahead of schedule. Robert is the real football Superman. I don't think anything, even as something as serious as this knee injury, will keep this young man down for long. Maybe I am just delusional...

You're not delusional by any means. Griffin will absolutely be back but I think at this juncture, the most important thing is that he doesn't rush himself back. I think that the long term is definitely more important in comparison to the short term and I believe that this team will rally around Kirk in Griffin's absence.
