They should inject him with copious amounts of HGH so those ligaments can become unbreakable like diamonds. It's only a 4 game suspension. I can live with that

I think when he comes back, you will see an offense more like Seattles. We will not totally give up on the read option, but we are not going to run it 75% of the time. We will probably run it
5-10% just to keep defenses honest, but I would imagine you will see MUCH more RG3 under center with stretches and normal handoffs and playaction roll outs. IMO, Seattle's offense should be what we emulate. 5-10% read option, 40-50% QB under center and 40% shotgun

it is not a torn ACL, the damage is in the repair of his previously torn ACL, so they are going to fix that, kind of like you break a cavity, you don't have a new cavity, but you have to get a new filling

Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated. So does this mean Mortensen is wrong?

Either way, the reporting on this whole deal has been abhorable.

No. Sisters cannot be cornballs. Just brothers.

Doctor for the Wizards and Capitals says the LCL and ACL complicates the recovery and prognosis.
Jim Haslett is a horrible coach.

That's doctor speak and doesn't really mean anything. Of course a combination injury is more complicated with a less definitive prognosis for return.

Ship him to some foreign land where the testers can't get to him.

There's just so many medical opinions out there though.

From ESPN News Schefter: Dr. James Andrews determined Griffin has complete tear of the patella graft that was used to repair his torn ACL in 2009, Andreews likely will usa a patella graft from Griffins other knee to repair the most recent tear. Stay tuned for more updates

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter

Griffin's recovery is projected at 6-to-8 months w/ rehabilitation that will focus on his quad strength to protect and help stabilize knee.

So... 6 months puts us in July. 8 months is September. If all this holds true we should see him out there next season. I suppose this is good news, but hope they don't trot him out too early.
