I'm not sure what all the love is for Tim Hightower. While I love that he was a Redskin fan and he gave his all, I'm just not crazy about bringing him back. All anyone wants to talk about is his ability to block. Well, with the pistol offense and the zone read, we would not need him to block. When's the last time you've seen Morris block. It rarely happens in this offense when we keep the RB "and" TE in close to help with the blocking. Also, Hightower was running like **** last year. The Carolina game (I was at that game in the endzone here in Charlotte) was the first time he looked good and he had over 100 yards at halftime, but I never thought he could read the cutback lanes. I'd roll with Morris, Helu, Royster, T. Davis and some rookies in camp. I'm not sure I really want or that we need Hightower back in the fold. Wasn't impressed with him the first time and we don't need a Portis back there. That offense is gone.

I'm not big on Hightower myself but remember Griff was hurt against the Ravens cause Royster blew his block forcing Griff out the pocket and down the field.

But who would have know he was going to get injured on that play. The injury was a total fluke. I've been watching football since 1976 and I've never seen a player injured like that where his legs flail up in the air. The Ravens are a tough defense anyway, so I'm not sure I'd blame one missed block by Royster as a reason to bring back Hightower. I guarantee, every player on our team has missed a block this year.

I'd be more concerned with Helu's toe than blocking right now. Reports are he can still only do light jogging and even thats with pain - its still early but looking doubtful he will be back in contention for any role in 2013.

Though I love RG3, his stubborn optimism sometimes reminds me of the Black Knight from the Holy Grail. He could be down and out and hopping on one leg but he would still tell you he was okay.

No, what I mean is in regards to his injury and his rehab.

After years of guys like Jason Campbell, I'm definitely not knocking his drive, determination, and personality. Hell we've been starved for a field general for way too long.
