Start of next season. Book it.

Now, the real question is... why is RG3?

People keep talking about his work ethic and all I can think of is Gilbert Arenas and how he hurt his knee, but had a great work ethic and really rushed himself back from the surgery and never has been the same. I hope this doesn't work that same way, but I can't help not being cautious.

Now come to think of it, look at the superstars in Washington
    Strausberg - Tommy John Surgery
    Zimmerman - Tommy John Surgery
    RG3 - ACL and LCL
John Wall - hurt his knee and missed half the season
Gilbert Arenas - hurt his knee and never the same again
    Ovechkin - out of shape

    Am I missing somebody?

What leads you to believe Gilbert has a strong work ethic? just curious. While he may "work hard" that could easily be negated by bad decisions. I do question Gilbert's decision-making ability. There's factual evidence to support that statement, too.

RG3 plays QB and probably won't be running as much as Gilbert did. Heck, RG3 played a few games with a Grade 1 sprained knee (partially torn LCL).

Vinny Cerrato believes he gave Jim Zorn a roster that can make the playoffs. A playoff kicker doesn't miss that kick. A playoff safety doesn't bite multiple times by a double move in the same game.

Yeah, I don't understand the Josh Morgan hate. He was signed to be a #2/3 possession-type receiver. Other than the mental lapse in the Rams game I thought he had a nice season and I expect more from him next season.

RG3 cancelled via Andrews. Cam Newton was booked to replace. Andrews said that rehab is going well. No setbacks. He is on crutches. Andrews did not want him to fly and risk blood clots.

People were always saying that about him. For instance I just googled Gilbert Arenas work ethic and this is the quote that came up on the first link:

" Ultimately, the slights to Gilbert's ego would fuel a work ethic that was unparalled; the type of mindset you only see in a handful of guys in any sport."

Fwiw, Gilbert was known as having one of the strongest work ethics in the league.

    This was widely known.

This is the same Gil who had a key to the Verizon Center and would show at 2 in the morning to work on his game.

PS: Not trying to hijack the thread but just responding to your question.

Exactly. This is the same Gil who took a crazy number of practice shots from all over the floor. I still remember Kobe complaining about how do you guard a guy taking a half court three pointer with 10 seconds left on the shot clock.

to be fair, that's only because davis and garcon got hurt.

crazy that our leading receiver had only 48 catches. when was the last time we had zero receivers with more than 50?

edit: and the answer is 1998, when brian mitchell and michael westbrook tied for the team lead with 44. leslie shepherd had 43.

ah memories... Albert Connell (EDITED: I originally had Leslie Sheperd but the others corrected me on this).. my lasting my memory of that dude was him bouncing at check at my uncles's dry cleaners for like $60... Then he went to the Saints only to get caught stealing money... I guess he wasnt making enough playing in the NFL to make ends meet...

    Back to RG3...

any new updates? I am talking about NEW and not just retwitting of the old news...
