It's embarrassing how bad our field looked. I don't understand why it'd be considered "girly" to have field turf? If it helps our team, and keeps are players healthy then we should do it.

Him getting hurt had nothing to with the field and everything to do with his knee not being healthy enough to jump throw off of. As a running team I'm a fan of the nasty field.

I have statistics pertaining to this in my thread here:

    http://www.extremeskins.com/showthre...rganization%29

We play better on turf, and in domes. We're a speed team with an athlete at QB. We don't want the surface we have now, even with Morris. He ran just as well this season on artificial surfaces as he did on grass.

I have said in othr posts with tis topic, either go the route of New England with the woven stuff under the field that holds the surface together or go to the synthetic field turf.

Chris Clemons tore his ACL in the game.I think we will have turf eventually, just like the tough guys didn't want a practice bubble years ago.

And people make fun of the Steelers field. Man first thing my dad and I said to get was that field looks like crap for any game especially a playoff one. If we can't maintain it we need to go field turf. So other maintain the grass or give up.

When Robert finally went down for good, I made the comment that Snyder would have field turf installed in a few months. We can't have the franchise playing playoff games on painted dirt.

You sure that rolled snap didn't catch on a clump of sod? The loose ground had nothing to do with why the ball went where it did?
    That field was atrocious.
We can excuse a lot of things, but that field is not one of them.
It looks like a friggin' cow pasture.

The new synthetic turf being used now is definitely not the same old stuff that was notorious for injuries. This new stuff is much more safe. Heck, the high school team here even uses it. I've always loved and prefer grass. But if that is the best product that can be put out there, it might be time for a change.
Faith and hope have been restored in our franchise. In Shanahan and Allen I trust. Than you for bringing us RG3!

DD GrassMaster is what we need, in my opinion it should be the NFL standard and all fields should be required to have it. It's a hybrid real grass/synthetic grass mix, Green Bay, Philadelphia and Denver all use it. It's the best of both worlds.

A professional football playoff game should not be played in worse conditions than the ****ing park down the street from me. People get payed a lot of money to keep the field in good condition. Step it up. And yes, it could have contributed to RG3 getting hurt. None of us know, but we shouldn't even have to think about that being a factor.

Has anyone spouted a cliche about grass stains and football being played in the elements, yet?

I may get flamed for this, but I've always thought the Ravens' field looked nice. Anyone know what kind of surface that is? I'd prefer we stay with grass, but something has to be done.
