Not only didn't he pull him, but also left him in there when it was obvious to everyone that he wasn't effective.

I don't think the comparison to Strasburg is valid. Strasburg was recovering from surgery, while RG3 had a less severe injury. Well, less severe until last Sunday...
That's completely valid, about no one being 100%. However, just because a player isn't at 100%, doesn't mean a certain part of him can't be. No one is 100% because of all the bumps and bruises, but a knee can be 100% with the player still being 95% (or 90%, or whatever). When Stafford dislocated his shoulder, his knees were still 100%.

    1) Running QBs don't do that; 2) He was fresh off a knee injury.

The facts were different, but both decisions involved the long term welfare of an important franchise asset. The Nats could be criticized for overcautious, long-term thinking. The Skins can be criticized for reckless, negligent behavior in the quest for short-term gain.

The difference as I see it is one where there was time to draw up a long-term plan for someone recovering from surgery, and the other where you are managing an in-season injury and you are making snap judgements in the middle of a game. So yeah, I do see a difference. I think the comparison is a bad one.

I think this is the wrong comparison. I think the more interesting one will be Wall and Griffin. The Wizards, probably because of what happened to Gilbert, really seemed to be careful with Wall even though the ship was sinking (or sunk). How do the Redskins handle Griffin's recovery and can they show the same sort of patience? Can Griffin?

At least once they brought him onto the field too early. In hindsight, he should have sat against the Eagles too. What would that extra week have meant we'll never know and I don't blame them for what happened, but I think Washington oddly now has three cases to look at in terms of how to handle a major recovery. I hope they lean towards caution.
