Why are people so worked up over Sean Smith?

Seriously, but in the last three years, whenever we've be linked to just about every huge free agent there is, and we ALWAYS sign the second tier guy instead.

Remember when we had the inside track to Santonio Holmes? Or when a deal with Cullen Jenkins was imminent? Remember how much interest we had in Vincent Jackson and Marshall Yanda, how Eric Wright was a sure thing? In the last three years, who exactly have we signed out of free agency that was actually a big name?

    Go ahead, I'll wait.

    ...

    ......

    .......

    Yeah. I thought so.

If we sign Sean Smith, I'll eat my hat. More likely we tale a shot on a second tier guy who's most cost effective and has more to prove.

Glad that Lich is coming back, i don't expect him to be the starter for long, but securing him for the long term means even after he's replaced by Lerib or Gettis we'll have a solid backup who knows the position and who already has good chemistry with Trent, Monty, etc.

To anyone here who watched the redskins a lot in the prior years, how did Kory perform before he tore his acl? I'm just curious as to how much the injury affected him

Myers can block and is great after the catch just what RG3 would like.

FWIW, LL seems to think Kory won't make it the whole 5 years and that this was done more to spread out his cap hit. Kory probably didn't go for having his contract void after 2 years.

"john_keim: FWIW, last I heard on Chris Baker, was not close to a deal. #Redskins do have Chris Neild as a backup if they don't keep Baker."

That would be a great pickup. Led the league in picks two years ago, but didn't have any last year. Kinda confusing.

Myers blocking score on Pro Football Focus is like, -24 or something. Blocking is not his specialty. But as a move tight end he's pretty damn good.

I expect he will start for years. Before his injury he was our best lineman and coming off the injury he was solid if unspectacular. He will be a fixture here for several years. Chester is the odd man out.
We work together and your name is Richard and I call you Dick and you hate it. You ask me to stop. I refuse, so you go to HR and they say "well he has been calling you Dick for several months so we think you set the precedence, sorry". Frustrated you ask me again." Hey man stop calling me Dick" I say "Sorry Dick, it's tradition, HR said so" Well in that scenario there is only one dick and it aint Richard. Why be that guy?
