We will win the division again no doubt and win the Super Bowl, Mara will get his and that is the Redskins winning the Super Bowl on his field

The increasingly likely prospect of keeping Davis makes me positively gleeful. Griffin will have a complete, versatile set of offensive weapons, with quality depth to boot. Guys like Davis, Young, Garcon, and Morgan really let you open the playbook because they have great speed, hands, and run-blocking ability. Want to change things up in the passing game? Call plays taking advantage of Moss' expert route running, or Paulsen's reliable receiving and blocking, or the blazing speed of Helu, Robinson, Hankerson, and even Paul.

It would. I actually got to see Talib play alot with NE and he made a huge difference. Once he was acquired the defense was much better.

Don't really need Lynch at all... We restructured Meriweather and have Doughty/Bernstine/Gomes.

The draft has a ton of safeties too and we need a FS.

That is hard to take in. 8-8 in our division!

I love the fact that we are keeping our own, with the exception of Zo, and not reworking deals, pushing the bill to sign the big-name...

But I am not in favor bidding high with him to keep him from Cleveland especially since we don't even know how he will return from injury and if he will be the same player he was.

I think the team is better as a whole with an improved secondary minus Davis vs with Davis and missing out on secondary targets here like Talib. If we can address both than I am all for it and would be thrilled with FA. But I know the offesne can put up points and win the NFC East still without Davis. I would like to see what the team can do with a better defense that doesn't give up 26 points a game if it came down to a choice between the two.

The quote last night that said the staff thinks he is one of a handful of bluechip guys makes it clear they are going to do everything they can to sign him back and I am ok with that, I just hope we are still able to upgrade the secondary.
OK. Cool. The first post made it sound like you didn't even want the chance to get him back, but it looks as though we may be able to get both Davis and Talib. Fingers crossed.

I dont nessicarily(sp?) hate the move, and you are right, from all reports, it seems like Raheem will be able to push him. I really wouldnt hate or love this move, it would be more of the wait and see approach. He got burned a lot last year. That worries me because we still have no backend help. If we can just get a competent free safety, i will feel much better about the move. Without the FS, it is tough for cb's to gamble on the ball since you cant rely on it not going to the house if you mess up.

Talib, T Jackson and Morris really worked great in TB

He kept those guys right in line...........the line to not play football.

its awesome. Next year, we are going to have so much space to sign our studs and then make a play on 1 or 2 big time free agents. When i say big time, i still mean within the parameters that Shanahan has been working, but they can go after the higher end of the market, such as RT for example instead of scraping off the scrapheap with Trueblood. Man i hate typing that name.

My wish list is to re-sign Davis. Sign Talib. Then sign Winfield later on in free agency. Get ready for the draft.
