He's an athletic 28 year old safety who was on his way to an All-Pro year before the first injury of his entire football career essentially ended his career here. He recovered his own way, went to NY and played a full 16 game season at a pretty high level. It's not exactly like he earned a Pro-Bowl last year based off namesake, he wasn't a common name around the league after the way he left here. You may be right, but it's just as likely he will be an excellent player for them.

I'm fine with Meriweather and our 2nd round pick as our safeties with Gomes and Doughty backing them up. It's Fred Davis and a Starting Corner that i'm worried about right now

A lot of times us redskin fans don't know what we have until its gone. I fear the same thing will happen to orakpo if we trade him, he'll all of a sudden recover and reel off 15 sack seasons back to back to back and we'll be thinking what if lmaoooo

Another cb gone were screwed. The like 30th ranked secondary in the league just got worst.

Will you guys chill out? Look at the roster we're going to have next year -- tons of guys with less than 5 years experience. That's a young team. We can use the draft to find a CB, S, TE, and RT who can start immediately if so needed and still improve that position. Given that these guys will come cheap, I call that a luxury. Darius Slay in the 2nd. There will be a plethora of safeties in the 3rd. That immediately improves us materially. That also does not consider the development of Compton, Hurt, Gettis, and LeRibs. With Trent Williams, Lichtensteiger, Williams, and Chester, not a bad line in the coming years.

I will say, however, that if you watch the 1991 Redskins, what really jumps out at you is their ability to go deep at will, and they had the OL, QB, and WR to do it. There's that awesome line by Rypien in the highlight film where he practically cackles laughing about their completion rate for passes over 40 yards or something like that. I'll take the hit in the secondary this year if we could get a day 1 starting WR (and he could be the Ricky Sanders-type) and a day 1 starting RT.
