I saw a post earlier saying Alexander should look at Moss taking a cut to stay which I found highly amusing. Would be interesting to see how much Moss has been paid so far in his career versus Alexander, which if I were a betting man would more than explain the different situations.

I'm not saying Zo is an angel, IMO he's a trooper. Toes the party line (like the NFLPA endorsed cap hit) but has got to the stage where he needs to be all about business too. I wish him good luck as his career, and earnings, draw to a close.

As for FA, 1 good CB and we're ready for the draft

You said size, not height. There are plenty of successful corners that are Matheiu's height.

Moss is also a much more valuable player at his position than Alexander is. So he should be earning more.

Height is part of someone's size and thats what I was referring to. Sorry if I was not clear.

There are not many 5' 9'' corners playing as starters in todays NFL - and the odds are against the Honey Badger adding to the list at least IMO.

I'm the one who said it, and I'm the one who is again gonna say WHY I said it lol...

It's not about whether or not Lorenzo should have stayed...I don't give a rat's ass about that.

It's about his initial comments concerning how disrespected he felt that the Skins both didn't offer more and ended up having to offer him less. Before yammering on about the Skins taking money out of his kids' mouths and doing him wrong, maybe he should remember there are guys who are essentially taking pay cuts to remain on the roster and help the team out.

"The next day, they called back and said they would only guarantee $1.4 [million] of that. Dropping more than a million dollars overnight without any reason, I couldn’t take that money out of my kids’ mouths. Based on everything I’ve done [for] this organization, doing everything the right way, it was just a bad way to treat me."

“I understand the business, but, . . . it didn’t sit right at all with me.”

A Redskins spokesman denied that, saying Alexander’s “statement is not true.”

Either there were two Lorenzo Alexanders on the team, or the only one I was aware of just did a complete 180 on how things actually went down. That usually won't sit very well with fans.
Snooze you lose. I guess he shouldn't have waited one more night and took the offer while it was there.

With a much injured Derek Cox signing for $20 million over 4 years, I am glad we didn't give up a healthy Josh Wilson. I know Cox has shown promise, but I am surprised he got that much. I wonder how the other top corners available feel about that. No doubt they are looking for more. We might be settling for players we draft and already have this year, boys.

Moss has earned enough to play for free, Alexander hasn't. I still remember Moss giving up on plays, not the case for Alexander however I'm not a fan of any of our players so the reality is:

Alexander isn't a starter, nor will he ever be one with us. If our roster wasn't so messed up in the past we wouldn't still have make weights like him and Doughty. The roster spots those older guys take up should be used for young guys who can play teams while we see if they become starter quality, then if they don't we should dump them and try again.

There are a lot of corners on the market still - prices will be coming down not going up. I actually think we might well see Hall back at a lower price when the dust settles.

You can be a smaller corner if you have some other exceptional skill to offset it. With DG, his superhuman speed made up for his lack of height. I suppose a corner could be small, but really physical and strong or a perfect tackler, but it is hard to overcome height because even with good positioning you just can't win the jump balls and so there is a way to neutralize your coverage to a degree.

I'm guessing it's because at one time, Santana Moss was one of the more dangerous players in the league. He was never a number 1, but he was very very good at his position. He also led the team in TDs last season. So I'd say he's earned it.

Not against Zo getting money, but this is a dumb thing to bring up. You basically have have two starters taking pay cuts and then some special teamer (who in my opinion wasn't even the best on teams last year, I think he had a better 2011 personally) wants to complain that he doesn't rate $3 mil a year? And this guy was a captain and wants to try and insult this fan bases intelligence?

    Please... moving on.

I'm sorry but Wilson not worth his cap where the market is currently at. He is most likely gone next year.
