I don't want to turn this into a K Cousins thread, but one that believes we should concentrate on a legitimate backup to RG3. K Cousins did not show me anything dynamic that would lead me to believe he is the answer in the throws of battle. The game against the Ravens was cool, but I do not believe he has the intangibles to put defenses on alert. I believe he even told Robert to take the reins when he came back. I believe we need to look into an experienced QB that would make defenses think twice before believing if RG3 goes out, game over. Seattle was no where alarmed or hurried when he came in. The dropped throws showed me the team was not and is not ready for him to be their leader. They did not fight for him. The whole team seemed to let down and totally give up when RG3 went out.

We need a legitimate 2nd stringer, someone fast and nearly as good as RG3, that is not K.Cousins.

It's been clear all along Aqib Talib is the cornerback the Redskins want. And it's been unclear all along if they can fit him under the cap.

Given this FO's MO, I am willing to bet we do not sign Talib. It'll be Phillips or Lewis or someone that has not been linked to the Redskins.

Well of course... I don't rule anything out... I would have never thought Polumbus would see the field last year. As you'll see a few pages back, I'm optimistic for the season no matter what because we really are fielding almost the exact same championship team...

Huh? is right. I can think of about 15-20 teams who would like to have our backup QB situation. He is young, talented, good leadership qualities and under a reasonable contract. You don't get more legitimate 2nd stringer than Captain Kirk.

At this point, sign Talib ... sign Fred Davis. Move on to the draft. Draft BPA, but definitely get a FS at some point, and a CB.

Did you not watch the Browns game where we beat them down??? Kirk was fantastic that game his only game starting not sure what you've been watching.

The Browns? Again, no teams fear him. Teams overlooked him once. After that game, they knew he was not lethal. Look at other second stringers i.e. Minnesota, who say watch out for this guy.

Browns defense was very good, they were on a win streak as well. Your post isn't reasonable, your backup QB isn't supposed to come in and dominate yet Kirk did. Not sure what you're looking for in a backup.
