People think you're trolling b/c if you asked all 400 people in this thread what positions do we need i think everyone would put QB last.

And mentioned Joe Webb as a QB that opposing teams feared, and completely ignored the fact that it really is not an option for us to go after a better backup, even if we wanted to. And somehow concluded that Cousins is not a prepared backup. Whatever, I am done with it.

This has not been discussed at all, anywhere, so it's possibly a big hypothetical ...

What if we offered Asomuagh (still can't spell the damn name) a deal at $3m this year, with incentives that could increase that number to up to $8m a year for 2014 and 2015 (with some portion guaranteed) when we have more cap space. He's getting $4m for not playing in Philly this year ... so he may be willing to take the $3m on the 2013 cap if you can incentivize some bigger numbers in 2014 and 2015 (but protect yourself by making them performance based ... say start 13 games and you get $3m bonus on top of $2m base salary and $3m guaranteed)

So .. a 3 year $13m deal that could escalate to 3 year $19m with incentives.

2013: $3 million
2014: $2 million base + $3 million guarantee + $3 million bonus if he starts 13+ games = $8m
2015: $2 million base + $3 million guarantee +$3 million bonus if he starts 12+ games = $8m

I think he is the answer THIS year and I believe the coaches agree. Shanahan would not call KC "first round talent" if he thought KC couldn't get it done. Swap KC for RGIII shortly after the Skins were up 2 TDs and the end result MAY have been different. We were almost guaranteed a loss in Seattle when RGIII stayed in after the initial injury.
