Kehl let me down this year, but I would've kept him ahead of Zo. I think Zo's performance (especially on teams) was better last year than it was this year. I think he's getting older and a little slower and we need to make the decision as to whether or not we want to give that teams' spot to a guy who is a veteran or a guy who is an up and comer.
I expected more out of Kehl when he was brought back. He was just unimpressive where we saw him. He has so much more speed than everyone else, which leads me to wonder if he can handle the playbook.
Wait until you see So'Oto this offseason. Our lists will be close.

This is silly but.....straight line speed is one of the last physical gifts to diminish with age. Its not like lateral quickness or agility that vanish quickly. Point being that when Fletch is likely hasn't lost very much of his straight line speed when healthy, this is coming from Fletcher who claims he ran 4.38 when he was playing basketball at John Carrol I would guess he's still around 4.5-4.6
But all silliness aside I think Kee has a chance to play and play well next to Riley when Fletcher retires. I would still try to land Zavier Gooden in the draft tho
Dolphins | Hope to have two signed by March 12
Updating a previous report, the Miami Dolphins are hoping to have contract extensions done with WR Brian Hartline and SS Chris D. Clemons before the new league year starts on Mar. 12.
Seahawks | Could show interest in Percy Harvin
The Seattle Seahawks could show interest in Minnesota Vikings WR Percy Harvin if he becomes available via trade this offseason.
The more teams that are reportedly interested in Harvin, the less and less likely the Skins can pull it off. it seems he was a pipedream at best.
We should sign: Chris Clemons & Aqib Talib
Who knows, they may just give him the contract extension he's pining for in Minny and all is done anyway.
FWIW, the reason behind what I posted is the fact the Seattle may include Matt Flynn as a trade candidate plus picks for Harvin... Why would Minny need Flynn? No idea.

Sounds like Aqib Talib is a possible franchise candidate in NE. They really want to keep him... Miami is in "heavy" contract extension talks with Clemons.

I like the article in the WP by Mike Jones... http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/...er-fred-davis/
Says we could consider doing a long term deal in the neighborhood of 5 yrs/$25 million but to protect themselves, they could structure the deal they offer Davis in a way that would lessen the payout in the event of an unsuccessful return from injury.

Phil Loadholt - T - Vikings GM Rick Spielman reiterated that he wants to re-sign free agent RT Phil Loadholt.
One of the unsung heroes in Adrian Peterson's miraculous 2012 season, Loadholt is a candidate for a major payday. He's missed just one start in his four-year career and is one of the game's premier run-blockers at 6'8/343. "Continuity is a huge part of it on the offensive line because those guys have to work as one unit and they have to know each other inside and out," Spielman said. "We'd love to keep Phil Loadholt, so we'll try to do everything we can to keep Phil Loadholt but we also have a lot of guys we'd like to keep."
Ahmad Bradshaw - RB - Free Agent Free agent Ahmad Bradshaw said Tuesday that he's been "thinking" about the Jets.
The Jets are not expected to bring back Shonn Greene, leaving them with Bilal Powell and Joe McKnight in the backfield. "The New York Jets are a team that I've kinda been thinking about, just to stay home, not make a big move from New York," Bradshaw said. "It's just right across the street from where I am now." Although Bradshaw will likely come relatively cheap, the cap-strapped Jets would still find more value in spending any free-agent money available elsewhere. Using a draft pick on a running back can plug the hole.

Do not believe we have cap space for Clemons or Talib.
That's an entirely reasonable contract, and one Davis should take too, between the suspension and injury he's probably not getting much more anywhere else, he's probably 3rd or 4th on the TE totem pole (even though I think his raw talent is as good as anyone).
I was sort of looking at something in the neighborhood of the Brent Celek contract, which was about 4M/Y; this would be 5M/Y, so not too much more, and if it's structured well we could keep 2013 costs low and protect ourselves.
I like this kid a lot on the outside when he's healthy. IMO we should be giving him a hard look.@Adam Schefter:
Bears announced they terminated the contract of vested veteran WR Johnny Knox today.

How old is Knoxx the Bears just canned him
Edit- nvm I didn't know his back issues were that bad

He turned 26 in November.
As for his back issues, yes they are serious, but he's someone who might be worth bringing in on a very cheap contract and retaining the rights to. Our outside WR issues aren't serious, with Garcon, Morgan, and Hankerson, but if Morgan leaves in 2014, and Knox can get his back fixed over the next 18 months, he could be useful there.
If he does get his back fixed and back in playing shape, then he'd be a huge weapon. If not, he's probably just a couple hundred thousand on a one year deal. Low-risk, potentially high reward a few years down the road.
The key depends on how crowded our roster is, though I suppose we could always just stuff him on IR and he wouldn't count against it.

Devery Henderson - WR - Saints ESPN's Pat Yasinskas does not expect the Saints to re-sign free agent WR Devery Henderson.
Henderson never quite lived up to his potential with the Saints, operating as a mere situational deep threat throughout his eight years with the club. Entering his age-31 season, he can expect a soft market. Henderson is our No. 31 free-agent wideout available this season.

Sedrick Ellis - DL - Saints ESPN's Pat Yasinskas does not expect the Saints to bring back free agent DT Sedrick Ellis.
One of the biggest busts of the 2008 draft class, Ellis has managed just 0.5 sacks over his last 31 games. His fate was likely sealed even before the Saints made the move to a 3-4. Ellis will get another chance, likely on a "prove it" deal with a 4-3 team.
I don't get it with this kid... I think he's an Adam Carriker type... Put him in a 3-4 and I feel like he has the potential to dominate as an end... Keeping him in the 4-3 makes no sense.
