    Neither am I.

I think some of the names we are being linked with are to give us leverage in getting some of our own guys to take pay cuts.

Eric Shaefer also did a fantastic job with his contract:

Josh Morgan, WR, (per ESPN 980 facebook) - 5 years (voidable after 2) 12 million, 7 mil garunteed

TE Logan Paulsen gets 3 yr, $4.1 mill with $1 mill SB from Washington. Incentives could make it $7.1 mill total or even void after 2 years

Only by three years though. It's not that much of an age gap.

Still, more and more signs point to D-Hall getting cut, so we'll see what happens.

Thanks DC...been off the board a lot lately, but Googled for a Morgan update before I posted and didn't see anything other than than 5.1 figure. You are on your toes as always.

Basically you're trading one D-Hall, for another D-Hall, and I don't imagine the price for Cason is going to be that much different than giving D-Hall a pay cut.

You pretty much should've said about 80% of the corners in the league are like this not just D-Hall and Cason. Cason doesn't have nearly as good as the stats D-Hall has had in his career so really the two can't be compared. D-Hall through out his whole career has had better seasons than Cason has had and has been more consistant and averages more tackles and picks per season. So to answer your statement no there not the same! Just my IMO

Sounds about right for him. And shows that we'll pay are over-achievers in a fair manner so all the other guys take notice.

3 years is like an eternity in football, and especially at skill positions.

But yeah, not a huge gap and D Hall still has his speed.

That's what I am guessing. That's a good chunk to invest in Shawn Springs' little brother.

    His name is Logan Paulsen!

And he just signed a 3-year deal. Good to see him back, he's definitely underrated and keeping him is big.

    Edit: whoops, misspelled name originally

Wow!! I thought this was a DB deep free agency. Coxs injury history made me think that he would be on the cheaper end

I god I hope they don't cut Deangelo! I'll be pissed if we drop him and keep that scrub Josh Wilson instead! Wilson shouldn't even be a starter on this team! I heard all this crap when we let Carlos go about Josh being just as good if not a upgrade from Carlos Rogers! Same crap I'm hearing now about Cason and Toler! Just crazy talk!!!

For what it's worth, LL doesn't seem convinced we're really in on Cason.

Float the big names, get the second tier guys. That's always been our strategy.
