Felix Jones - RB - Cowboys
ESPN New York thinks the Jets could be interested in free agent Felix Jones.
Get excited, Jets fans. Jones has a history with Gang Green's quarterbacks coach, David Lee, when Lee was Jones' offensive coordinator at Arkansas. He would also come rather cheaply after battling injuries throughout his entire career while also posting a career-low of 3.6 YPC in 2012.

Steven Jackson - RB - Rams
Free agent Steven Jackson says his disagreement with the Rams isn't about money, but it has more to do with his role moving forward.
"I embrace the fact that I took in Daryl [Richardson] and Isaiah Pead and taught them a lot and hopefully they’ll go on to not only excel, but be very good athletes and good professionals in this league," said Jackson. "But for where I’m at going into year 10, I’m not ready to step back and just become a primary backup or reduced role guy, to be a part of a running back by committee." Jackson officially voided his player option on Thursday, and it appears he'll be seeking a team that will let him be the "bell cow" while chasing a Lombardi trophy. That's not going to be the Rams. Look for teams like the Packers, Steelers, and Falcons to contact Jackson this weekend.

Eric Winston - T - Free Agent
The Houston Chronicle's Lance Zierlein doesn't expect the Texans to re-sign free agent RT Eric Winston.
The Texans don't have much salary cap space and remain high on incumbent RT Derek Newton, who was a better pass protector than Winston in 2012 even if Winston is a superior run blocker. Zierlein, who is clued into the Texans' thinking, expects the Eagles, Redskins, and Dolphins to be likelier suitors for Winston.

Pat Chung - DB - Patriots
ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss says teams he's talked to have questions about free agent S Patrick Chung's health.
Chung has missed 14 games over the last three seasons while dealing with shoulder, foot, and thumb injuries, among others. Reiss believes Chung may be seeking a one-year, prove-it deal in an effort to reestablish some value. He won't be returning to New England.

Mike Wallace - WR - Steelers
One NFC personnel man believes Mike Wallace won't be worth the big contract he'll receive in free agency because he's a limited route runner.
"He has inconsistent hands and he is predominantly a vertical guy," said the personnel man. "He's got some tightness through his hips and just struggles dropping his weight and getting in and out of routes. He can run fast. But there's kind of limitations in what he can do. And it's not like he's a real strong guy after the catch." On the flip side, Wallace scores touchdowns (32 in four seasons), draws double teams, and blows the top off of defenses. Only 26, he's earned a premium payday.

Sebastian Vollmer - T - Patriots
ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss thinks free agent RT Sebastian Vollmer's camp will be aiming for $7-8 million annually.
Reiss also doesn't believe any teams will be looking at Vollmer as a left tackle, which, if they were, would certainly drive up his price. Reiss' suspicion is that New England will let Vollmer walk "for anything north of $7 million per," and says the Patriots would likely go with Marcus Cannon at right tackle over signing a different high-priced free agent tackle.
LeSean McCoy - RB - Eagles
After studying Chip Kelly's Oregon teams, NFL Films' Greg Cosell observed that Kelly's offensive "foundation" is the running game.
We've been trying to pound this home; Kelly runs a spread, but it isn't a pass-happy spread. "It's an option-run game, with the quarterback as the initial decision maker," writes Cosell. Kelly spreads out opponents in four-wide sets and attacks with the run. Because the NCAA's wider hashmarks affect the starting point of each play, it remains to be seen how effective Kelly's strategy will be on NFL fields. We do love the hire for LeSean McCoy and Bryce Brown's fantasy value. Cosell expects McCoy and Brown to line up on the field together, "consistently."

Ronde Barber - DB - Buccaneers
The Bucs are meeting with free agent FS Ronde Barber on Thursday.
There has been no contact between the two sides yet this offseason, so it's unclear if the Bucs even want to bring the soon-to-be 38-year-old Barber back. He's spent his entire 16-year career in Tampa Bay.

DeAngelo Hall - DB - Redskins
The Washington Examiner's John Keim hears the Redskins will likely make DeAngelo Hall a "take it or leave it" offer.
ESPN's Adam Schefter mentioned Hall earlier on Thursday as a prime candidate for release, but the Redskins will likely ask him to take a drastic pay cut before severing ties altogether. If he rejects, then Hall will be given his pink slip and Washington will clear his $8 million cap number off the books.

On NFL Network the Chief's DT from LSU restructured from 14 mil to 4 mil. That's 10 mil dollars which is roughly, if my math is right a 70% cut . Wonder what the Skins are asking Hall to take? I can see the Skins asking him to go from 8 mil to 4 or 3 which is roughly a 50% to 60% cut.
I wonder as well. And getting past the whole pay cuts are restructures but restructures aren't pay cuts deal... at the end of the day, Tyson Jackson took $10 mil off of his salary because he knows he would sniff $4mil on the open market.
Corey Webster also took a pay cut, I believe it was from $7.5 to $4 or so, give or take 500k or so either way. I suspect Hall was asked to take closer to Webster was asked to take.

It's gonna suck to say goodbye to Santana...but good organizations are able to make tough decisions like these

Sounds like we're gonna have to find a slot receiver via FA or the draft. I heard the draft is deep with slot receivers this year too.
I'd love Ace Sanders in the middle rounds to fill that role.
Carriker I believe is gone. I'd still be surprised if Tana is gone. I think we find a way to keep him. Hall will depend on if he wants less $ or not.
