Cardinals | No contact with LaRod Stephens-Howling recently
Arizona Cardinals impending free-agent RB LaRod Stephens-Howling's agent said he has not talked with the team since they fired former general manager Rod Graves.
For real. I mean, there are limitless examples across the board of people being "worried" about athletes returning after any kind of injury. Hell, growing up racing motocross, every time I hit the dirt my mom was ready to run out on the track and pull me out of the race.
or now, a wife that says there is no possible reason I should ever be on a bike ever since I have a chronic ACL, however, that bears no medical facts. People worry when you get hurt. It's human nature, but it has nothing to do with real facts. I imagine RG3's world is a whole lot bigger. Hell, this could be some ex girlfriend from 9th grade saying "Oh, he tore an ACL? That sounds serious, no I don't think he should play football for at least 3 years!"
The ridiculousness of it all just bugs the hell out of me. Sometimes the 1st amendment feels a lot like a curse. Find whoever made these comments and![]()

Things should come out soon hopefully on Hall, it's clearly being worked on.
I think if the team targets Toler they do consider CB during the draft, but more from a BPA standpoint than a need standpoint. The biggest holes for our team are FS, CB, and RT. The FO seems to be more or less content with Compton at RT. Whether that's the case going forward, I'm not sure, but that's the feeling some insider statements give.
If we go out and sign Lynch and Toler, and are happy with Compton, we likely are in a position to go BPA. Now, lucky for us, safety and corner are fairly deep, and combined with the fact that DEs and DTs are SUPERDEEP, we could see some very good talent fall into our lap, so we may draft a CB anyway.
If we do go BPA, I suspect we'll be going WR in the 2nd though, unless someone drops, there is so much good talent at WR right now, it's silly.

Barry Cofield is LEGIT... no more nonsense about we need a "real" NT... HE IS THE REAL DEAL!!!! He goes to the Pro Bowl this year, book it!!!
They should seriously stay away from him. He doesn't fit their profile of free agents. He's old, will be expensive and doesn't fit the scheme.

Why are local guys so important to some fans? I don't care if they came from Alaska-Anchorage as long as they can play.

Q. In terms of everybody has a different view of what draft depth is, but where would you say the deepest positions are and concern that you better get one early because there won't be one left at the end of the draft?
MAYOCK: I think the deepest positions are the offensive line, center guard and tackle. I've never seen two guards at the top end this good that could be top 10 picks. Love them.
I've got six tackles that I've given first round grades to. So the offensive line depth is really good. I think the defensive tackle depth is outstanding, the safety depth is outstanding. Now the corner thing is a little different. After [Dee] Milliner, nobody knows who the second corner is. That is one of the questions that could be answered this weekend. Who runs fast, who looks the best?
There are four or five boundary corners in college that play that boundary corner. Typically that means a tough, smart guy that can tackle, but is speed deficient. And almost all the top corners this year are boundary guys coming out of college.
So I would tell you, that depending on what happens with these corners, if you don't get Milliner and somebody runs fast, [Johnthan] Banks, [Desmond] Trufant, any of those guys runs 4.4, who the next corner coming off is going to be really intriguing.
I like the tight ends, but there is a dropoff after three, so you could see a little bit of a run. A team wants a tight end, but they want to make sure they're in that top three. You could see some guys going to get all three of those guys.
We haven't had a tight end drafted in the first round in the last two years, so I think that's going to change this year. Obviously, the quarterback position is all over the board. So those are the positions I'm most concerned about.

Because these players, specifically are from or have played near us and this might help in them coming here. I agree with your statement. I was making it a point with these 2 players as they fit the bill with our cap in mind and are players we are/MIGHT be targeting.
I just wanted to let you know, I wasn't be critical of your post or trying to smack your idea down, but I just see that alot with our fans. I know alot of people in here went to alot of the colleges in the area, so it's to be expected, but I'm just the type of fan that doesn't pay attention to where a player grew up or where he went to college. Sorry if I came off rude as it wasn't my intention.
