I don't think Gosder Cherilus is the answer for us at RT, also where are you getting that information? Something must be weird that they'd release Cherilus when Baccus is 35 years old. They drafted Riley Reiff to have stability at OT for awhile, that won't be the case just 1 year later if they release Cherilus.

Also, no way is he ahead of the other guys in the RT list.

Speaking of WR... Garcon is starting to scare me with his situation. It's a little too similar to someone who I will not name...

Redskins | Pierre Garcon still deciding whether to have surgery

Washington Redskins WR Pierre Garcon (foot) is still debating whether to have surgery on his foot, but is leaning towards resting the foot. Garcon should make a final decision in the coming weeks. Garcon does not like the idea of having a surgery that would require three to four months to heal, but offer no guarantees of correcting the issue.

Backus is under contract, Reiff waiting in the wings to start. Cap trouble has struck them too and Cherilus will command big money for them... Some teams disregard situations like this instead of solving them... That's why the Lions are the Lions.

    This is getting interesting...

The Tennessee Titans could release OT Mike Otto could be released this offseason if they believe OT Byron Stingily can handle being the team's No. 3 offensive tackle next season. Otto is expected to count $2.1 million against the salary cap next season.

He's 29. 6'5 310/lbs, started at both RT and LT...

Lynch I can see. Grimes i wonder about. He's coming off major injury, he's pushing 30 and likely will get a big contract -- doesn't seem to be the typical profile for a Shanny FA.

I took Grimes out because I think he's a big money guy. We are in the process of eliminating pipe dreams. I can re-add him, but it'll be at the end.

I would bring Moss back. He was very productive in his role (imo could have done more if given more opportunities). Plus, Morgan and Garcon are both recovering from injuries this offseason.

Ahem, ok... I think it is possible that we may stray from our FA philosophy under Mike thus far of nabbing lesser known players just entering into their primes this year. In fact, I'm looking forward to it. *Ducks*

I think it'll be telling because, if we do, and we start to get a couple of the aged veterans or superstar types in here that means Mike is officially pleased with the rebuild and now wants to get those final championship pieces.

I mean, at what point do we say "alright, we really just need these three or four players in here and we could contend with anyone"? And, when that's said, does it really matter how old they are since we can always find that small amount of players again when it's time to let go?

Woah nelly, Lewis is up and coming. Aqib is established... main difference is Lewis can stay on the field, and doesn't bring the baggage... Also, you can guarantee he will come cheaper.

If you can't figure out why we let Landry walk, I can't help you there. He critized our staff and was all about himself instead of getting fixed.

So what are your suggestions? Paulson is what he is, a blocker with decent hands who filled in nicely, but does not have near the playing ability Freddy D has when on the field.

    Well first of all, Landry did do some questionable things, but I just always felt he could be an elite safety and I thought Raheem would have really got the best out of him. Either way, we win at least 2 more games if we have a decent safety. The first giants game is ours if Cruz doesnt burn the entire back row, and then I think honestly the Bengals beat our safetys to the ground as well. I could be wrong, just my opinion, I know we have all seen Landry get burnt on the double move a few times, but again, I think he was mils ahead of Madieu, Gomes, Doughty, etc;

As for the Davis situation. I say keep Paulsen and look for the "basketball player" tight end late in the draft. Antonio Gates was undrafted, Jimmy Graham was drafted in the 3rd round. I just feel we can get a super athletic TE late in the draft that would be a lot cheaper then keeping Davis. And I personally think Davis may not be as athletic as he once was coming back from the achilles injury. Its a pretty bad injury, I believe hard work can bring anyone back and better than ever, I just dont know if he has it. I like Davis, I think he COULD be an elite TE, I just dont think he possesses the heart. Maybe its not heart, it just feels like hes missing something. I cant put my finger on it.

    My WR Rankings woulf be:

    1. Ramses Barden, New York Giants (27) - Still young and had a few good games. Still has a little ways to go tho
    2. Donnie Avery, WR, Indianappolis (28) - Big year with Luck. Smaller, fast guy who can get the YAC
    3. Brandon Gibson, Saint Louis (26) - Dont know a ton about him, just know when he's healthy he gets yards and TD's
    4. Louis Murphy , Carolina (25) - Remember Rivera saying he's the fastest guy on the field. If we can teach him how to run some routes could be a good pickup
    5. Julian Edelman, WR, New England (26) - Dont really like Pats WR's. I think they are a big function of the system and Brady. Might even rank him lower.
    6. Jerome Simpson, WR, Minnesotta (26) - Dont really like him that much b/c he seems to be able to only run one route and thats the deep one.
    7. Johnny Knox, Chicago (26) - Same as Simpson. Dont really like him.
    8. Greg Jennings, Green Bay (29) - I like Jennings. I just listed him this low b/c i think he will cost too much.
    9. Austin Collie, Indianappolis (27) - I wouldn't go near him. He has had WAY TOO MANY head injuries.

I have mentioned Travis Kelce in the draft thread. He's a big body, pass catching TE... Brother of one the of the Philty Eagles Olineman. Also like Martellus Bennett.

As far as Landry, I think I saw him get beat deep more often than not. He was always looking for the big hit instead of the ball... He was a huge disappointment here. He looked like he shined in New York but he really didnt., it's just that there will always be one turd who looks just a litte better than the rest of the pile, which was the Jets defense.

Yeah, but he came back and balled out. I'd be nervous if he was like that one guy... but he was productive and said he was getting used to the pain.

Also wanted to note, if we are planning on keeping Rex Grossman, it should be done soon. He's been named in a lot of backup Qb positions with other teams like the Bengals, Vikings, etc.

I'm surprised Greg Jennings is listed so low. He could be a solid #2 option and probably wouldn't break the bank. He'll only be 30 next year, could give us a solid 4 years while our young WRs develop. Before last year when he was hurt, he had 4 straight 1000+ yards seasons.

Most importantly, he's a big YAC guy. And he believes in himsmellf.

Looks solid to me. I have an often insulted proclivatey for picking out the next big guy at WR... and failing miserably

Yeah... but again that's where the big money comes in. I want to avoid making this a prediction thread, but I think most of these rankings are "bang for your buck" related as opposed to overall skill and/or strictly cost.

He's waivering, but if Robert isn't healthy to start the season, I'm sure he'll stay on. Then it'll get interesting on whether or not we have to cut him later in the season if Robert Griffin is PUP'd etc.
