A couple of fresh nuggets from Rotoworld:

SI's Peter King gets the sense executive VP John Elway will try hard to convince Broncos owner Pat Bowlen that Darrelle Revis is the missing piece in Denver.
The Broncos currently have plenty of cap room, but with LT Ryan Clady still needing a new deal some of that will obviously evaporate. Still, it's not hard for teams to work around this issue. As we saw in the Divisional Round loss to the Ravens, Champ Bailey just can't hang with the deep speed threats at receiver anymore. Adding Revis to handle the opposing team's No. 1 receiver and taking some pressure off Bailey would be a nice upgrade. What Elway wants, Elway usually gets. A first- and second-round pick is said to be the Jets' asking price. King mentions the Chiefs and 49ers as other possible Revis suitors. This is pure speculation at this point.

ESPN Dallas says it's time for the Cowboys to let impending free agent OLB Victor Butler "test the market."
Butler, just last summer, was once "penciled in" as Anthony Spencer's heir apparent at outside linebacker with the Cowboys. Now, with a switch to a 4-3 defense under Monte Kiffin, Butler doesn't have a spot. He's never showed consistency when it comes to rushing the passer, but Butler also hasn't been able to get on the field behind Spencer and DeMarcus Ware. He should draw significant interest if he indeed gets to test the free-agent waters.

Bennet is almost a guaranteed Giant. I don't see him leaving NY, as much as I would love him here, he's mentioned numerous times how much he loves being in NY and wants to bring his brother to play there too.

Dustin Keller (NYJ) - Keller finished his contract year in nightmarish fashion. With the turmoil in New York, the Jets aren't expected to re- sign Keller. If rumors materialize and Keller lands in a city with a legitimate quarterback, he could be signed at bargain price this offseason. Given his situation over the past few seasons, it's difficult to evaluate his true ability, but the injury of a year ago should reduce the monetary risk associated with the decision.

I did have McDonald on my wishlist but as you can see have updated it with Elam and added Alford IF he can make it to us in the 3rd. Will be changing my list from time to time as the days/weeks go by.

    I gotcha, good stuff nonetheless.

I've got a question for you guys...

I, personally, am not a fan of using a known starter as a return man as well... I feel lt leaves the chance for injury to be much higher and ST's takes the wind out of you and then these guys like Crawford, Hall have to remain on the field to battle through the series.

Would you be opposed to bringing in Josh Cribbs as the sole KR/PR? He seems to have a lost a step but I think it's due to the Browns dysfunction.

Wow, looks like Elway is starting to play Fantasy Football with the Broncos the last couple of years. Good luck with that.

I must have missed this. Why is Brad Jones at ILB a Top Target? Isn't he the 3rd string ILB for the Packers? I feel like we should just keep developing Keenan Robinson.

If we get Brad Jones, that means Lorenzo Alexander is gone.

If they had Revis at corner this year, they'd probably be in the Super Bowl. Champ got torched up and down the field vs Ravens and I doubt Revis gives up the last TD.

Keller would be my choice over Bennett or Cook regardless.

Keller certainly fits the whole smaller but faster TE mold that Shanny has used before.

Brad Jones is the starter for the Packers... They had injuries and he came in and showed his stuff... He ended the season calling the shots for the Pack defense.

They are lucky enough to have the cap and a perennial playoff team... They have the luxury of adding just a piece here and there. And with Manning at the helm, you have to make moves for a SB run before his time runs out.

There were several reasons why the Broncos blew that game, not just because of Champ. But I was just commenting on how he persued Peyton and now wants Revis. Sort of like what we used to do.

To be fair though, they had a really good core already that was just taken to the next level by Peyton.

If you throw a Darelle Revis into the mix, and move Champ to FS, you have an extremely dangerous secondary to go with the pass rush of theirs.

I think if we target any TE during FA (beside Fred) it should to be Jared Cook. He is about the same as Keller with the exception that he is 3 years younger.
I think Cook will flourish here, I do also want Fred back on, I think with Cook and Davis we can build our own version on Gronk/Hernandez mismatch tandem.

Cook, Davis, and Paulson would make a greate TE corp for RG3. Umm with Niles Paul...umm somewhere great ST player so I would want him around for that.

Not gonna happen... That would be the most expensive TE corps in the league by far and there's no reason for both of those guys. It's one or the other and possibly Kelce or another TE in the draft.

Redskins | Expected to try to bring back Robert Jackson
    Mon, 28 Jan 2013 11:19:06 -0800

The Washington Redskins are expected to make an attempt to re-sign impending free-agent LB Robert Jackson, but Jackson could receive interest from other teams if he hits the free-agent market.

Their normal starter is Desmond Bishop, but he was on IR when the season started. Then they had DJ Smith who tore his hamstring and also went on IR. I'd much rather just keep Lorenzo Alexander and keep developing Keenan Robinson.

Unless people want Brad Jones in case Fletcher retires?

Dolphins | Reggie Bush unlikely to return

The Miami Dolphins are not expected to re-sign impending free-agent RB Reggie Bush this offseason. Bush likely will receive interest as a free agent because of his ability to make explosive plays and contribute on special teams.

Jets | Not sure if they can keep Dustin Keller

The New York Jets do not believe they have the budget to keep impending free-agent TE Dustin Keller at this point.

Rams | Jared Cook could be a target

The St. Louis Rams could pursue Tennessee Titans impending free-agent TE Jared Cook if he becomes available in free agency.

I think the whole conversation started when someone said Tavares Gooden was the only FA ILB they'd even consider. I then said Brad Jones and Dannell Ellerbe would be first in my book before Gooden... I really wouldn't consider him unless Fletch retired.

So... Now Greg Jennings AND Mike Wallace are apparantly looking for $10-11 million per year. DC9, may want to remove Greg Jennings from this list of targets lol
