Correction my good friend... He was on the Vikings, but he was practicing with the 3rd team and standing out before the hamstring injury, so they released him before he had a chance to grab a spot. He then went to the CFL... The Cleveland Browns offered him a contract a few days ago and he rejected it to go back to the CFL, probably because it was a lowball offer.
I'm so confused. Because Mayock just released his Top 5 rankings for each position and had Rhodes as the 2nd best corner in the class.

And if you look at advanced stats for Rhodes compared to Milliner and Banks, he's got some serious potential. His press coverage stats were far superior.
% of QB's attempts that were completions against each corner:Now this stat could be skewed a bit if the QB's just decided to throw against the other corner non-stop and chose not to test Rhodes as much as Banks.
- Rhodes - 6.9%
- Milliner - 13.04%
- Banks - 14.94%
Rhodes is more scheme diverse, and he's probably got some of the best press coverage talent in the class. He definitely has more experience pressing than either Milliner or Banks. With teams like Seattle, where all they do is press, I'm betting Rhodes is highly sought after.
There are some other cool stats about the 3 that I can post if need be.

That's not to say that he won't go 1st round (and I agree, he probably will), he's just saying that most teams have a 2nd round grade on him right now. They want to see him run first.
As far as being the 2nd best Corner in the class, that doesn't mean he goes in the first round if there are 30 franchise Left Tackles. I know, bad example, but you see what I'm saying.
I really like Rhodes and think that NE takes him if they can't lock up Talib (in the first round). The first time I saw Rhodes was when he shut down Michael Floyd in the Champs Sports Bowl in 2011. I'd never seen Floyd get manhandled like that.

The only way they cut London Fletcher is if they have a concrete plan to replace him. There is no way they are just going to cut him, or hope he retires, w/out doing that. It is not just his play on the field that makes him valuable, but he calls the defense. Shanny is going to want to replace him w/ another leader, and I have not heard of anyone on the radar who would fit that bill.

Tweet from TK if so insanely good news

60% chance Skins get some Salary Cap money back at the upcoming Owners meeting. Could be why they haven't restructured anyone yet

I believe it will be a long shot that P. Merling has any type of significant impact on this team. People love high draft picks, but most that bounce around never seem to become great starters in this league.

My face:
I really REALLY hope that turns out to be true. Heck, even half of the 18M would do wonders. Suddenly instead of being right at the cap with people still to sign, we'd be 9M under, and able to probably re-sign all our guys. Then we can restructure Hall, Moss, Fletcher, and cut Brown, and walk away with several decent FAs.

Best news I heard so far today.FS/SS-Corey Lynch on the #Redskins radar. Would be a value signing that could play big. http://httr24-7.com/blog/free-agent-safety-corey-lynch/ …
nevermind, beat me to it.
