That is not how zone coverages work.

So...you admit that his responsibility was elsewhere on the field, yet you expect him to still shut down TO because he's technically our #1 CB? Was he supposed to use the Force, or what?

This is a dumb tangent, but this was a dumb comment and deserved to be pointed out IMO. Sorry.

Paulsen & DY, two quality moves to get them re-signed. Great news.

Would cost you just over $2M in cap space and contract to do that - not sure we can afford that.

Nate Collins - DL - Free Agent
The Bears will not tender restricted free agent DT Nate Collins.
Collins is not ruling out a return to Chicago, though. "Absolutely there is a chance I will be back," Collins said. "I think that they’re going to offer me a one-year minimum (contract) again. I’m going to weigh my options over the next few days, see if someone else wants to offer a multi-year (deal)." He could easily be back.

Dannell Ellerbe - LB - Ravens
The player rep for free agent ILB Dannell Ellerbe says the Ravens have yet to make his client a contract offer.
"There's nothing to report right now," said the agent. The Baltimore Sun reported the Ravens were poised to make Ellerbe a "significant offer," but it hasn't come across the wire. Ellerbe fully expects to reach Tuesday's open market.

Lorenzo Alexander - LB - Redskins
The Redskins and free agent ILB Lorenzo Alexander have rekindled contract talks.
Alexander and Washington were in discussions around the time of the Combine, but the sides were "not close" and talks were broken off. Now that the Redskins have locked up a couple of their restricted free agents, they've turned their attention back to the backup linebacker and special teams ace.

I think we can find a way. We need to get something decent for him and I believe a 2nd round tender is appropriate. I know alot of others with differ with me.

These re-signings make me think a cut is coming soon.

I think (and I could be wrong) that those two signings combined take up less than 1.5 mill of our cap this year. Very friendly contracts.

But cuts are coming anyways, separate from these re-signings.

A little celebration is in order.

Logan's first NFL touchdown with some random dude throwing it. Can't remember his name.

That same random dude throwing Darrel Young his first NFL touchdown.

It's just a tad high of a price, imo. His value falls somewhere in between that original round tender and a 2nd round render. I really wish there was a 4th round, 1.5ish M tender option, because it makes things tough for those picks from near the end of the draft where you have to go all or nothing almost.
