Good post bro. This is what I like to see. I was just commenting on the striking down of ideas without any reasoning posted... you did exactly that in this post and I like it.

I too have soured on the idea of Bennett. I read that he and Coughlin are talking up new deals as we speak and he's even trying to get his brother to come to NY over the Buccs...

The only thing I would change is I've been following Kelce for a while... Dare I say, he reminds me of Gronk with his ability to be overlooked and slip past defenders in to the flat, and when you notice it, he's already doing an endzone celebration. I'd love to see the two pass catching TE's out there ala Gronk/Hernandez...

When all is said and done, IMO Kelce will be the best TE from this draft.... with his 4.5 speed and 6'5, 260 and his devastating blocking ability.... Averaging 15 yards per catch. Ridiculous!

But anyways, this is the FA thread so I'll stop my Travis Kelce draft preaching.

Good man! It made me mad for a while that there was absolutely no game tape on him and when I talked about him, no one could understand what I meant. Thankfully, there are a few up on YouTube now for people to realize the greatness that is, Travis Kelce.

EDIT: Holy crap, I just realized your draft is almost identical to mine... Only picks we have different is Kyle Long and I havent watched much of Lemon or Allen.

After this Senior Bowl, McDonald should be an early 2nd rounder at the latest but luckily like everyone's said... there are a ton of quality Safeties in this draft. IMO, he's the best all around Safety and his skillset fits FS better than any of the other safeties in this draft.

McDonald is a SS in my opinion he is at his best attacking the LOS. At practice yesterday they reported he looked very uncomfortable in 2 deep but was great in the box. Supposedly Thomas looked good in 2 deep but struggled in the box.

Rambo and Reid probably have the best chance at being a true centerfielder.

I take Reid 9/10 times over Rambo... Although LSU Safeties have soured on me a little bit after Stinky 30.

Him and Eli developed a good chemistry, and that's as good as gold. Eli is getting up there in years, the window will only be open another 3 or so years before they have to start the QB search again. When you have such a short time, it's best to hold onto those pieces that have good chemistry. We were stating the same, that Bennett does not come out of NY.

As far as "not broke", I think it's hard to trust that Freddy D comes back from where he left off and he is also a free agent. How do we know he stays? I think he will but it's not a wasted draft pick if you get someone who can contribute immediately and also upgrade the position.

Freddy D did say last year before he was tagged that he was not necessarily loyal to any one team and he would go where he'd be paid. After the injury, who knows now. He's overrated by most teams but we tend to love our own.

look I love me some Sleepy Davis, but I am not a fan of bringing him back. There are just too many "what ifs".

- What if his achilles does not heal well and nags him causing production to dip?
- What if he wont budge on his payday and wants a multi yr deal?
- What if he picked up an old habbit while sitting on his butt rehabbing and gets suspended for a yr?

IMO, I would rather bring in a guy like Jared Cook but ultimately, I trust the FO to make the best decision (whens the last time we can say that)

Elam and Swearinger are SS... If we get Clemons, we should be looking solely at FS. Although, like you said, Meriweather may be back and the Clemons talk would be moot. I just don't know how reliable Meriweather can truly be and to be honest, T. Jax has never even been a Redskin unless he could prove otherwise... and with no training camp, I doubt he'll be able to prove anything.

Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to take two Safeties in the draft...

Sure, I mentioned Merriweather as a backup, am not sure i trust him to be the starting strong safety considering his injuries this year and poor play the prior year. As for T. Jackson like Tampa did, I'd move on from him, clearly he has issues. Some of the draft geeks see Swearinger actually more of a free safety than strong. He played both positions in college. he even played some corner. So i think he likely can do fine at FS. As for Elam, he has some ball skills but agree right now he's more of a strong safety. If I personally could pick the safety I'd want to be there in the 2nd, it would be Eric Reid, whether he's there at 2nd is another story, I suspect he will be gone.

Paulsen is a FA, but I think he could be brought back for very cheap and is the ideal #2 TE. He is a plus blocker with very reliable hands. He might not be a game changer with his speed, but he will run good routes, catch the ball and block well. The question now becomes who do you want as a #1? Davis is an option and there a few FA's there. Personally I like Jared Cook but there are plenty of options.

I think Paulsen is fine as a #2, but don't like him as a #1. So hopefully we resign Davis or go for Cook. He doesn't stretch the field, for his size he's oddly not a red zone threat. As for reliable hands, i haven't looked up his stats but he seemed to have critical drops in multiple games especially for a guy who doesn't have the ball thrown a lot his way. And as the season progressed he seemed to be less of a threat, in 5 of the last 7 games, he had just one catch.

I think more and more folks are in that line of thinking. If you have a tightend who can catch and run, you are fine. It's becoming one of the most interchangible positions in the NFL. Obviously there are Gronks out there... but they are few and far between.

Fasano is worth a look but GM Jeff Ireland has publicly stated he sees no reason why Fasano would not be a Dolphin. He's Tannehill's biggest and most reliable target. He had zero drops in 2012. I'd consider him to be a Dolphin for a few more years... IMO

matter of fact, the only guys im looking at from Miami are Reggie Bush, Randy Starks, and Chris Clemons, but really most of their FA's will be resigned because they have the cap space.
